I have to admit I'm not fond of the card I made for this sketch. If I had the time I'd toss this one and make a new one - but I have a nail client showing up this morning and I promised my mom I'd help out at the coffee shop for the rest of the day while my mother-in-law babysits the girls for me. So a new sample will have to wait till later (which WILL happen - I actually had a lot of ideas brewing for this sketch!)
Anyway here's my not-so-great card:
Even tho I LOVE pink I think I went just a tad overboard with it on this card LOL!!
I used my Basic Grey Bittersweet papers - I cut the one strip, adhered the darker paper behind that I scalloped with my SU! Scalloped edge punch, then stitched them together with my sewing machine.
The hearts were punched out from other papers in the pack using my scalloped heart Marvy punches.
I embellished them with some BG buttons and a Prima (all attached with some light pink embroidery thread) and attached them with dimensionals.
I pulled out my worn lipstick crackle paint and covered the second largest heart and also brushed it onto the card base.
The "Cherish" is from my Love Sentiments set - I stamped it in VersaMark then embossed it with the chocolate scented embossing powder that I've been stuck on recently (once it's heated you can still smell it - it's not a STRONG scent - you need to bring it up to your nose to get a whiff of it - and it smells GOOD!!).
So yeah that was it. The IDEA behind the card just wouldn't translate this time. I had a long day trying to get a bunch of cleaning and cooking done and I just wasn't feeling it when I sat down to make this card. But I needed to get something made for the sketch!! I'll try again this weekend to make a better one! I didn't even bother finishing the inside this time - just too tired to!
