To look a lot like Christmas!! It's been snowing all day here - the ground isn't totally covered yet and it's getting dark so I didn't even bother trying to take a picture - mebbe tomorrow.
I can barely sit still right now I'm so excited - Tim's supposed to be taking me to see Twilight when he's done work tonight - so hopefully the roads are good enough for us to go!! I can't wait! He actually wants to see the movie - he checked out the trailer and thought it looked pretty good - my expectations are pretty high but I know it won't be as good as the book (really what movie IS??). I'm just stoked tho - I've been dying to see Twilight ever since it came out!
Anywho enough about that - I made this card yesterday and just finished the inside now - I need to hurry and get this posted as Tim will be home in like 20 minutes so we can go!!
Remember this birthday card I made not too long ago using my Build A Holiday set?
Well I wanted to make a Christmas version using my Basic Grey Wassail papers - there's a sheet in the 6x6 pack of all these triangle swatches of patterns - I was pleased to discover that the smallest triangle from the BAH set fits right on them!
So I stamped a bunch of "banners" onto the triangles and cut them out and adhered them to the vanilla cardstock. The letters were made with a Studio G alpha set I got at Michaels (for $1.50!) that I stamped then punched out with a circle punch.
I added A Muse micro twinkle stickers where each banner met - love how that looks!
The "Merry" is from my Christmas Sentiments set - I stamped that then trimmed it out and rounded the edges before making a medallion of sorts using a circle punch and SU!'s Key Tag punch, then punching out slots for the ribbon with my MM Ribbon Slot Punch (a must-have tool - I use mine all the time).
I added the scallop strip to the bottom as an afterthought - I pierced the holes along it to make it stand out a little more.
I finished off the inside of the card by lining it with more Vanilla cardstock, then stamped the verse from my Christmas Verses set and adding bits of leftover patterned paper from the front and that was it!!
