OK so I've really felt like a bum these past few weeks in regards to the ATS challenges. I've been posting them (mostly on time!) on the ATS blog every Wednesday but haven't been participating - till now that is :o)
Jen always comes up with fabulous challenges, and I send sketches her way here and there to use - and this week is one of my sketches - so really I kinda SHOULD play along ya think??
Anywho once I'm done with this post I'm heading over to the ATS blog to post the challenge and all the cards the DT members made - so don't forget to head over there and check them out (and of course don't forget that I'm watching all those that participate as a chance at being a Guest Designer for All That Scraps is up for grabs!! More deets on that here).
Now for the card: I used CCDesigns Olivia's Birdies set - stamped Olivia and colored her in with my Copics, stamped the bird, colored it then cut it out and attached it with a dimensional.
You can't see in the picture but I used my Pebbles Shimmer Chalks for the blue background and added some shimmer to her hair and whatnot too. Her shirt is paper-pieced from this fabulous piece of Chatterbox paper from my stash (when I use Chatterbox I tend to just grab a sheet at random - I love all of it so I usually don't care which one I end up with!).
I finished off the card with some Primas (attached with sugar-coated Doodlebug brads) and a sentiment from CC Designs Sentiment Set.
K I'm off to get the challenge post up!
..........................................................................................................
Oh and HUGE update about my Dad - he's HOME!!! He sent me a message late last night that he was sent home yesterday afternoon!! I still am shocked over the suddenness of it. He obviously has to take it REALLY (and I mean REALLY) easy - and I know that his wife is going to enforce that - honestly if it weren't for her I bet they wouldn't have let him come home this early. She's really been making sure he doesn't overexert himself and helping take care of all his wounds and whatnot. I know with her watching him he will get better much quicker (it always makes me laugh when she tells him to take it easy and he actually listens - if anything I've inherited my extreme stubbornness from my Dad......*grin*).
So I thought I'd let y'all know that. Hopefully I'll be able to make it in by the weekend to visit and see how he's doing.
