Here is this week's sketch! I had to go with the layout I used on this PT Birthday Card that I posted the other day - I really liked how that turned out plus I am hard-pressed for time right now to come up with something totally new.
A family note - Veronica went to kindergarten orientation yesterday - she starts school next week! ACK!! She's been asking me every day this summer when she'll start school - and now it's finally here! I am SO excited for her to start - just taking her in today was so fun (I went to the same school grades K thru 6 so it was crazy being back there) and I can't wait for the actual day (though I'm prolly going to bawl my eyes out that first day :(.......)). I've got her all set up with her Barbie (PINK) backpack and Disney Princess lunchbag and pink binder *wink* - she's been dying to use them.
Anywho on to the card:
I had to use my new halobella and sentiment that I got not too long ago.
I stamped her then used my Coluzzle to cut the circle around her (trimming around her feet with scissors), then colored her in with my Copics. I used my Marvy Giga Scalloped Circle punch to mat the main image with black CS.
I added "Baby's Breath" glitter (from Art Institute) to her wings and dress and around the sentiments.
The sentiment was inked up 3 times onto separate pieces before punching it out with my 1 1/4" circle punch.
They look funky in this picture but those 4 dots are silver bells bonbons - I just used a mini glue dot to attach them (they're super shiny in real life - really neat).
The patterned paper is by Cloud9 - got it eaons ago and just came across it in my stash. Ribbon is May Arts.
If you upload your card using this sketch to any public galleries please use the keyword AMYRS36 to make it easier to find.
And don't forget to link directly to your creation in the comment section of this post so that I can see it too! (please don't use just a general link to your blog/gallery - if you've posted several times since then I have to search to find the right post!)
Also if you want me to link to your card in next week's sketch post you have to have it done and linked to before next Friday - other than that there's no time limits at all. I just love to have people participate - it's fun to see what you can come up with and the different interpretations.

Now here's links to all the folks who participated in last week's sketch (Friday Sketch! #26) - lots more played along - loving that! Keep 'em coming!
