I got back yesterday from my scrapbooking/stamping retreat and I gotta say I had a lot of fun!! I don't have many pictures to share - just a couple of the building and the lake and that's it (once I get them uploaded that is...). I spent most of the weekend relaxing and stamping and it was SOOOOO nice not to have to worry about meals and diapers and cleaning and all the fun stuff we as moms deal with on a minute-to-minute basis *wink*. It was also super nice to not deal with e-mails and blogging and being online as well (altho I did take a couple of minutes just to see what was going on in cyberspace as Julie had brought her laptop and was able to get Internet access) and just take a REAL "break".
But now that I'm back to the daily grind here's a card I made right before I left:
I used two new sets by My Favorite Things - Essential Sentiments (a MUST HAVE set - you get 28 sentiments for $15.95!!) and Build a Boquet. I just inked up the circles from the set (rolling just the edges of the stamps in the ink pad) and stamped them to look like bubbles.
The main image is CC Designs Tubby Time stamp. I stamped it onto white CS, colored it in with Copic markers then filled in the "bubbles" with Liquid Applique and poured on Dazziling Diamonds (Stampin' Up!) glitter before heating it to make it puffy AND glittery.
The scalloped rectangle was made using a Spellbinders Nestabilities die (LOVE those things!).
The cardstock used was Regal Rose and Soft Sky (SU!), and the ribbon is Soft Sky grosgrain. The brads are Bazzill.
Now I need to get all my stuff put away and get all my pictures of the cards I finished recently uploaded and edited and all that fun stuff - have a great evening everyone!
