OK for those that were asking me about the BISK (see this post: Using the BISK) - I *just* heard from Christine (the owner of AllThaScraps) that she's been told she can NOT get any more in!!!
Ellison (the owner of Big Shot and the BISK and all that) and Sizzix are now the same company (one bought out the other or something like that - forgive me but I'm totally sketchy on the details!!) and all the Ellison products are being discontinued and *some* are being re-packaged under the Sizzix name.
HOWEVER Christine was told that the BISK is also being discontinued (and her supplier is sold out and Ellsion says they don't have any more) - so people are going to have a REALLY hard time finding it!!
On a brighter note - there is something else out there that you can get that is almost exactly the same as the BISK. It's the Sizzix Texturz Starter Kit (you can see that here) and Ellison is saying that THIS is what is replacing the BISK and is all that will be offered. The STSK has the silicone rubber mat (the most essential piece for using these texture plates) and 6 different designs (on 3 double-sided plates) and the plain texturz pad. And it's the same price as the BISK was.
Also for those wondering - most of you that want a BISK know that there is a Paisley texture in the kit (one of the biggest reasons we all got it LOL!!) and since it's being discontinued what happens to the Paisley?? Ellison has said that the Paisley plate will be re-packaged (I don't know when or how or with what - this is all I've been told!!) and sold under the Sizzix name - so keep your eyes peeled for that sometime in the near future!
The Ellison Kits (#'s 1, 2 and 3 - you can see them all here) are NOT being discontinued as far as I'm told - so if you want to get those and the Sizzix Texturz Starter Kit (INSTEAD of the BISK) then you're good to go!!
I hope this helps out everyone who's been trying to get the BISK - here I posted all about it and how great it was and it's all-of-a-sudden not available!! I am glad tho that the Sizzix Texturez Starter Kit is basically the same thing just different textures so you CAN substitute that no problem!!
Oh and for those that have asked - YES the BISK and the Sizzix Texturs Starter Kit WILL work in the CuttleBug!!!
