I'm still not over this icky cold - but I got things to do!!! LOL. Lauren posted a contest not too long ago on her blog (you can check it out here: Alexa's Set Contest!) challenging people to use Alexa's set (from MissyB Designs - see it here - you'll have to scroll down to see it - and right above the set it explains what it is and where the proceeds go). I HAD to make a couple of cards for my niece's birthdays (they're twins) that were on Saturday (I know I'm a rotten Auntie!! I totally forgot!!!) so I pulled out Alexa's set to make them.

The patterned paper on both of these cards is by rob & bob (I got a big slab of it at Michaels months ago). Sheets of stickers and whatnot came in the slab. I'm not a sticker fan and *rarely* if ever use them - but thought I'd try them out on these cards!! I used the alpha stickers to spell their names, and the strip of "ribbon" across each card is also a sticker.
I of course used my Prismacolor Markers to color them in, same with the butterflies which were cut out and only adhered on the bodies so the wings and antennae pop out.
The base of the cards is Bazzil Fourz CS, and they measure 4x9" - made to fit a standard-sized business envelope.
I used Stampin' Up!'s Happy Everything set and Clearsnap Fluid Chalk ink for the sentiments along w/ the Word Window Punch and Soft Subtles brads.
And of course where would my cards be without my Marvy Giga Scalloped Oval Punch?? (I haven't heard anything lately as to when retailers will actually get decent quantities of these punches in stock - they were saying mid-March but the month is almost over and so far NO one seems to be getting any in!!! However when I do hear I'll be sure to post and let everyone know!!)
