Sorry I've been practically MIA this past week!!! It's been tough trying to get things done as I have NO energy and the doc was right about the coughing - it just doesn't stop!!! I don't even want to think of what shape I'll be in if this is supposed to last another week or two!! :o( I really appreciate all the get well wishes people have been sending me - it means a lot!!
I got my new Papertrey set yesterday - so I had to hustle to get my samples done and sent in on time!!! The new gallery and set release is supposed to go live at midnight tonight (I *think* it's Pacific time for that??) so be sure to check it out. I had a LOT of fun with this set and I hope everyone likes the cards I made with it!!
I also just finished my samples for GinaK's set - that's all going live tomorrow as well so stay tuned to her blog for the big reveal!! Oh AND she's just revealed the April Guest Designer - it's Asela!!!!! YAY Asela!!! Go check out all the FABULOUS samples she made here!!!
Like the title of this post says - I got some new stamps!! Christine over at AllThatScraps is now designing stamps and I have the first ones (along with a bunch of other goodies I ordered *grin*) - you can see them here - all the ones with "CC Designs" in the title are her new stamps!
***For right now I'm just posting the cards - I have to run to the city today to help a friend move. When I get back I'll update this with supply info and links and whatnot. Most of the supplies are from AllThatScraps but I know how a lot of you like direct links (and so do I!! I hate having to search for things b/c it takes me FOREVER to find it!! LOL)
So please stay tuned for the rest of this post!! Have a great weekend everyone!!***
OK here is all the creative info as promised for these cards!! :o)
For this card I used CC Designs new Sugarplums Easter stamp on White Bazzil CS. I colored her in with my Prismacolor Markers (are you guys getting tired of me using them on EVERYTHING??? Maybe it's time for me to start using some of my other coloring methods LOL!!) and then added a touch of Icicle Stickles (I got those here) to her dress.
Now the stamp originally has eggs in her basket - but I wanted this to be an anytime card - so I used my new Flamingo Primas (which are also beside the sentiment - aren't they so tiny and cute?? And there are SO many - it will take me forever to use them up) - anywho I actually cut up the flowers into little bits so they would "fit" into the basket better. I then glued them in and added a little more stickles.
The scalloped mat was created using 2 punched out Giga Scalloped Square pieces of Bazzil CS. I added a touch of May Arts ribbon (here) that I LOVE - I have a few different colors of this kind now and want more!!!
Christine sent me a bunch of this Sweetwater patterned paper with the challenge to see what all I could come up with using it. For a brief second I was stumped as to WHAT I would do with it as they all have different months on them - and I don't do much scrapbooking (tho I want to!! I just need to make more space and get more time to do it LOL!!). Well I ended up making 5 different cards with this March Patterned Paper - these 2 here and 3 more I will be sharing later. A lot of you have commented that you really like to see all the different things made with ONE sheet of patterned paper - so you won't be disappointed!! I plan to do a LOT more of that over the next little while!!
STAMPS: Sugarplums Easter by CC Designs, Thank You Sentiment by GinaK Designs. CS: Bazzil Snow CS, Bazzil Fourz CS, Sweetwater March Patterned Paper. INK: Palette Hybrid Noir, Prismacolor Markers in: Light Peach, Chartreuse, Light Aqua, Dark Brown. ACCESSORIES: May Arts Ribbon, Icicle Stickles, Flamingo Primas, Marvy Giga Scalloped Square Punch.
Don't you just LOVE this little ducky stamp??? Every time I look at his bunny ears it cracks me up (check out this card Lauren did with this stamp - it's ADORABLE!).
Again I colored him in w/ Prismacolor Markers, and added a little decoration to the eggs with them. I used my Coluzzle to cut him out in a circle, then the patterned paper was punched out with my Marvy Mega Circle Punch, then all of it was adhered to a Marvy Giga Scalloped Circle Punch.
I used the same Sweetwater March Patterned paper but I used a flower stamp from Technique Tuesday and Clearsnap Aqua Pigment ink to change it up a bit.
I used more May Arts ribbon (the grosgrain ribbon is Stampin' Up!), and Flamingo Primas. The sentiment is by GinaK - it seemed fitting for a stamp like this LOL!!
