Last night I just played around w/ all the stuff that was sitting on my desk (trying to use it up instead of having to put it all away!! *wink*). Here's one card I came up with:
STAMPS: Cakeabella (stampingbella.com), small oval and sentiment from a*muse, Dotted BG from Stampin' Up!. CS: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Lavender Lace, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron, Spring Flowers DS Paper. INK: Basic Black, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand. ACCESSORIES: Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol, Cutter Kit, Prima Flowers, Jumbo Brads, Light Orchid Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Sponge Daubers, Stipple Brushes.
I love this cakeabella stamp from StampingBella - her hair is what gets me!! I just kept messing around w/ the image after I stamped and colored it. I masked it then stamped the oval and stippled the ink (So Saffron and Chocolate Chip) around it then doodled a border around the edges.
I used up another piece of my Spring Flowers paper too! That stuff just doesn't seem to end! I pulled out a few Prima flowers from my stash and adhered them to the card w/ Jumbo brads that I picked up at the Dollarama quite some time ago.
The way I used the Word Window punch for the sentiment and ribbon was an idea I got from StamperSharon - I just love her work!!
STAMPS: Michaels $1 Valentine stamps. CS: Whisper White, Real Red, Black. INK: Basic Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink in Warm Red. ACCESSORIES: Coluzzle, Marvy Giga Scalloped Oval Punch, Paper Piercer, White Gel Pen, Ribbon (Michaels), CuttleBug A2 embossing folder - Heart Blocks, CB 2x2 die - Tiny Tags, dimensionals, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol, jump ring.
I hand drew the stems on the flowers and doodled a border on it too. The tag was made using one of the "Tiny Tag" CuttleBug dies - I ran through a piece of chipboard and then a piece of white CS to adhere over it. I LOVE these little dies!! I don't have to trace out the patterned paper or CS to cover the chipboard - I just run it all through the CB then glued it on (and I suppose I could glue it on *first* then run it through - but I'm still playing around with it!).
For the Heart BG - I ran through a piece of Whisper White CS w/ the Heart Blocks folder, then used a Warm Red Colorbox Fluid Chalk Cat's Eye ink pad to color it. I just swirled it around on the CS and on the edges as well. It turned out kinda cool!
