I'm getting closer to using up all the paper from the Spring Flowers Designer Series® paper pack!
You can read all my other posts on my new "resolution" here:
And the chipboard coaster box that started it all.
STAMPS: Barn and sentiment by GinaK Designs. CS: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Spring Flowers DS paper (all Stampin' Up!). INK: Palette Hybrid Noir (Stewart Superior), So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke (Stampin' Write Markers). ACCESSORIES: Sahara Sand Eyelets, Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon, Jute, Dimensionals, Color Spritzer.
I LOVE this barn stamp and sentiment by GinaK - I had to get them to go w/ all my little farm animal stamps. I thought that these would also go perfectly w/ this particular patterned paper from the Spring Flowers pack as they are a lot more masculine looking than all the other patterns.
The jute I got at a Liquidation store a looonnngggg time ago - when I saw it I *knew* it would be perfect to put on guy cards (and a big roll of it was like 80 cents so like I could resist! *wink*)
I used the Color Spritzer (w/ the Sahara Sand marker) on the main image and the sentiment just to "dirty it up" a tiny little bit. You can see how to use the color spritzer here.
STAMPS: Baby Carriage and Baby Script by GinaK Designs. CS: Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Spring Flowers DS Paper (all Stampin' Up!). INK: Palette Hybrid Noir (Stewart Superior), Whisper White and Cameo Coral Craft (SU!). ACCESSORIES: Marvy Mega Circle and Giga Scalloped Circle Punches, Stampin' Pastels, Paper Piercer, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals, Ribbon (Michaels), Jump Ring, White Brads (Bazzil), Ticket Corner Punch, CuttleBug Heart Blocks embossing folder, CB Tiny Tags die cut, sponges, lightweight chipboard coasters.
This was the FIRST thing I made w/ my new CuttleBug!! *happy dance*. I ran the patterned paper through w/ the Heart Blocks A2 embossing folder, then sponged on Whisper White and Cameo Coral Craft Ink. I wasn't in the mood to make a Valentine card so I made a baby card instead using GinaK's Baby Carriage and Baby Script stamps.
I used Stampin' Pastels and the small applicators to color in the main image, then punched it out w/ my Marvy Mega Circle Punch and *very* lightly sponged the edges w/ the Cameo Coral Ink. All the Cameo Coral CS was sponged w/ White Craft ink to lighten it up to better match the paper.
I even got adventurous w/ my new 'Bug and tried cutting chipboard w/ the Tiny Tags 2x2 die. I used a *lightweight* chipboard coaster (I get mine from StarLitStudio - she sells them in packs of 20) - and the cool thing is is that you can run through ALL 4 2x2 dies w/ one coaster since the coaster is 4x4" (y'all prolly already know that but I was pretty excited when I made that little discovery! *wink*) - so of course I now have a little pile of chipboard tags!!
Anywho - I covered the tag w/ White Craft ink, heat set it then stamped the Baby Script stamp onto it. I attached it to the card w/ a jump ring and a little ribbon and put a dimensional to keep it in place.
STAMPS: Sheep and Sentiment by GinaK Designs, Weave BG by SonLight Impressions (all available from stampingfreak.com). CS: Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Whisper White, Spring Flowers DS Paper (all Stampin' Up!). INK: Palette Hybrid Noir (Stewart Superior), Bashful Blue, Whisper White (SU!). ACCESSORIES: Liquid Applique, Prismacolor Pencil and Gamsol, White Gel Pen, Marvy Giga Scallop Square Punch, MM Cheeky Clip, Light Blue Gingham ribbon (SU!), brown ribbon (Michaels), dimensionals, Word Window Punch, So Saffron Brads!
I had SO much fun making this card!! I was just playing around w/ some of the patterned paper scraps and just messing around really and this was the result!! AND I was finally able to use a cheeky clip!! I got a jar of them in all different colors (they're made by Making Memories) some time ago and I've had the *hardest* time incorporating them into a card (or anything for that matter) - but this time it worked!! *grin*
I stamped the sheep from GinaK onto Bashful Blue CS then filled him in w/ Liquid Applique (SU used to carry it, I know TAC carries it, and a lot of craft stores should too) and heated it w/ my heat tool to make him "fluffy". I used a white gel pen for the ear and a Prismacolor Pencil and Gamsol for his face.
I sponged the edges of the scalloped square w/ White craft ink, put on the clip w/ a little bit of ribbon and adhered it to the patterned paper using dimensionals.
The card base is stamped w/ the Weave BG from SonLight Impressions (aka Cornish Heritage Farms) and I sponged the edges w/ Whisper White Craft Ink.
For the sentiment I stamped it then cut the CS so that it was thin enough to go through the Word Window punch, then used the punch to round the ends. I then stuck that to the card using 2 So Saffron brads.

Whew!! This took a LOT longer than I thought to type up and whatnot!! I hope y'all enjoyed it!! :o)
