I made this card for a friend's little boy whose b-day I missed AGAIN - I don't know what's got into me lately - I keep remembering *after* the fact.
The card itself didn't take very long - I did masking on it and the cutting of the masks took longer than the card itself. My instructions on masking are here.
First I stamped the M, S and N and masked them. I then stamped the dragonfly, the worm, the caterpillar and the snail (so they are *behind* those 3 letters). I then stamped the ladybug and masked the ladybug and the worm and stamped the A and O (so then the front of the worm shows *before* the A and the ladybug is in *front* of the O).
I stamped the grasshopper and ants last and then decided to doodle outlines on the letters to make them stand out more and doodled a frame around it.
The card itself is 4" x 8.5" and fits in a standard business envelope.
I am mailing the card to him and next time I see them they're going to bring it back to me so I can do this:
and they can hang it in his room. I just cut the mats from 12x12 CS as the opening of the frame is 6" x 12". I doodled a border on the green just to add a little to it and that's it!
