I JUST got an e-mail from someone asking why I have cigarette ads on my blog. I was shocked to say the least. Let me explain:
#1 - I chose to have a few ads on the sidebar here to hopefully make a *little* extra $$ to help w/ the costs of running this blog.
#2 - When I set up the ads I chose only 1 of the numerous ad options (I chose Hobbies as I obviously wanted to keep it stamping and craft related).
#3 For the first few days (I'm not sure how long) default ads show up that are all related to TypePad and blogs.
#4 - For the past few days NO ads have been showing up for me. I've been meaning to contact TypePad over this but w/ everything else I have had to deal w/ I haven't yet. I just assumed that if I can't see any ads then no one else could either which was no big deal.
#5 - I saw on SCS ppl talking about someone's blog having cigarette ads and wondered why on EARTH a stamper would do that. I NEVER thought it could be me (no names were mentioned) as I don't smoke and don't condone it either. That's the LAST thing I'd ever put on here!!!
I am so upset right now over this. If I had known they were showing up I would have had them removed immediately and sent in a (HUGE) complaint. As it is I've contacted TypePad and am getting this straightened out ASAP. I am SO SO sorry everyone - I really feel awful about all of this. This has brought me to tears and I really feel like a fool. I so wish this had never happened. I hope I can fix this and that everyone will understand that I would NEVER advertise anything like that (I didn't want to have any ads at all but I thought having crafting ones would be OK).
I have to stop now. The more I go on the more upset I'm getting.
ETA - you know it's wonderful how much a bag of Doritos and a Coke can calm a person down LOL. Tim was out and had called and I told him how upset I was so he went and got me some goodies. So I relaxed and snacked a bit and feel MUCH better!! I'm NOT gonna let this bother me anymore - I will deal w/ it and move on. Hopefully I will have something much more interesting (and stamping-related) to post later tomorrow (after Turkey of course! Yum). {{{{HUGS}}}}} I really appreciate all of your support!!
