AmyR Stamps Underwater Sentiments Sample Card 1 Copics by AmyR I did some masking and coloring with my Copics then as a final touch I added some Diamond Stickles to make it all oh-so-sparkly :o)

The patterned paper is all from Cosmo Cricket's Snorkel line - I used that to inspire the color combo for the rest of the card.

AmyR Stamps Underwater Sentiments Sample Card 1 Inside by AmyR AmyR Stamps Underwater Sentiments Sample Card 1 Inside Closeup by AmyR I lined the inside of the card with more Snorkel patterned paper.

Friday Sketch! with Guest Tammy Fielder (July 3/09)

Sorry this is so late everyone!!

I was running errands for my mom this morning, then had a traumatic episode when I entered my studio this morning. Nothing serious just a massive moth above my computer (yeah yeah you all can laugh!!).

I don't know why but I have a serious phobia of moths. They freak me out!! If one comes flying anywhere near me I'll run screaming like a girl. Even more than spiders I HATE moths! And lately there have been a TON of them around here! *shiver* I reallyreallyreally can't function if I know there's a moth in the room with me.

So yeah I'm a sissy when it comes to those things!

ANYWHO I've got a new sketch for y'all. This is another by my fab guest gal Tammy - I LOVE her sketches. She's comes up with the coolest layouts!! And she makes gorgeous cards too so if you don't already follow her blog you should!! Check it out HERE <-------click!

Get Well Card Sketch Sample

CC Get Well Chicken Card by AmyR

AMYRS4 revised Here's my sample for my latest Friday Sketch! (June 26/09).

I needed to make a Get Well Soon card for a customer so I pulled out my Cookie Crumbs Get Well Critters set and decided to use these October Afternoon Weathervane patterned papers.

CC Get Well Chicken Card Copics by AmyR CC Get Well Chicken Card Closeup by AmyR I stamped the rooster onto a piece of CCD White Cardstock then colored him in with my Copics.

To make the ruffled feathers on his belly I used the Colorless Blender and just drew them on :o)

I also colored and cut out the little bandaid image from the set and adhered them to the card with dimensionals.

The wide red grosgrain is from Stampin' Up!

CC Get Well Chicken Card Inside by AmyR I lined the inside of the card with more patterned paper, stamped one of the sentiments from the Get Well Critters set and added another bandaid and that was it!

Supplies green pink red aqua

Sketch Sample (June 19/09 Friday Sketch!)

CCD Bear Hugs Sketch Sample Thanks Card by AmyR

AMYRS70 Here's my card for the latest Friday Sketch!

I had to use the bear image that I had colored in this video as it was sitting on my desk and I wasn't going to toss it!

I also decided to stick with the October Afternoon Ducks in a Row patterned paper and ribbons I got from My Little Ribbon Shop as they were all still sitting out as well.

CCD Bear Hugs Sketch Sample Thanks Card Closeup by AmyR I also used my Thank You Sentiments as again it was sitting out (yeah call it like you see it - I was being lazy LOL!).

Still I'm pleased with how the card turned out.

I used buttons from my stash in the corner instead of flowers, and punched the white cardstock with my Martha Stewart Lace punch.

CCD Bear Hugs Sketch Sample Thanks Card Inside by AmyR I finished up the inside with more patterned paper and a sentiment from the Thank You Sentiments set and that was it!

Supplies Hello Chica

STAMPS: CC Designs Bear Hugs, AmyR Stamps Thank You Sentiments.

CS: CC Designs White, SU! Black, PT Aqua Mist, October Afternoon Ducks in a Row Patterned Paper.

INK: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers.

ACCESSORIES: Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle, Scalloped Circle and Label Trio Dies, Ribbon, Dimensionals, Buttons, Embroidery Floss, Martha Stewart Scalloped Lace Punch.

Multicolor glitter with rhinestones 1

Lastly here's a pic of my nails. After my last couple of videos I've been getting a lot of comments and questions about them.

They're gel nails (NOT acrylic) and I do them myself - my other job is as a nail tech and I do gel nails, manicures, pedicures and even gel toe nails.

This picture isn't the greatest (if you click on it you can get a pop-up with a bigger image) but these are multicolor glitter tips with silver rhinestones embedded in the gel.

And just a quick FYI bit I DO get a lot of comments and e-mails from people wanting more info on gel nails and what to look for/what to avoid when it comes to checking out a salon and while I don't mind answering them to the best of my knowledge I am really busy so it may be some time before I can answer you! For YOU your best option is to check out your local salon and ask their nail techs the questions as they should be able to answer them and address any concerns you might have.

Friday Sketch! (June 19/09)

I couldn't decide on which sketch to use today, then decided to make a new one based on the card I made yesterday (that I haven't uploaded yet - stay tuned for it as I'll post it a little later) - so here's the newest sketch!

Forever Friends

Man it's amazing how much extra time a person has when they're one kid short!!

Veronica got to go on her first camping trip this weekend with Brownies (a junior-version of Girl Guides) and left yesterday and we won't see her 'till tomorrow! ACK!! I miss her like crazy but know she's having a blast - she could wait for me to drive away after dropping her off so the fun could start (insert small sigh here). I can't wait for her to be back tomorrow.

SO it's just been me and Josie while Tim is at work. And Josie hasn't been feeling the greatest today:

Josie sleeping  LOL she fell asleep at the table when eating her cereal.

Notice "meow" (her stuffed cat that's been her "blankie" ever since I can remember - it's missing an eye and has been patched up more than once but of course she loves it) is her pillow and even in sleep she won't let go of the Tinkerbell flashlight Tim got her (since he got one for V for her trip he had to get Josie one too).

Of course right after I took a picture I moved her to a more comfortable spot to nap rather than at the dining room table.

SO with her napping I was able to get some stuff done - here's one thing I finished:

TGF Reeta Forever Friends Card by AmyR

ACK!! Isn't this image ADORABLE??

I HAD to get a couple of stamps from The Greeting Farm after their last release - this  stamp being one of them. Obviously after telling y'all about Josie's "meow" you can see why I chose this one *grin*.

AMYRS69

I used my latest Friday Sketch for this card and altered it a teeny bit to fit the image.

Since the main image was so large I moved the patterned paper panels out and up a bit and left off the sentiment completely.

All the patterned paper and the May Arts ribbon is from My Little Ribbon Shop - I just adore this new Ducks in a Row line from October Afternoon.

TGF Reeta Forever Friends Card Closeup by AmyR I cut out the image with one of my circle nestabilities then colored it all in with a bunch of Copics.

The coloring took the longest obviously then the rest of the card came together in minutes since I had the patterned paper and layout all picked out!

TGF Reeta Forever Friends Card Copics by AmyR TGF Reeta Forever Friends Card Inside by AmyR I finished off the inside by lining it with more patterned paper.

I then stamped one of the sentiments from my Friends Sentiments set onto a scrap of cardstock, die cut it with a nesties tag die and adhered it to the inside of the card and that was it!

Oh Baby!

AMYRTFS2 I had these images already colored and cut out sitting on my desk for over a week now. I quickly whipped up both cards this morning using the latest Friday Sketch.

Scroll past the pics for all the info :o)

CCD Oh Baby Boy Card by AmyR

CCD Oh Baby Boy Card Closeup by AmyR CCD Oh Baby Boy Card Inside by AmyR CCD Oh Baby Girl Card by AmyR

CCD Oh Baby Girl Card Closeup by AmyR CCD Oh Baby Girl Card Inside by AmyR I used the new CCD Gingersnaps Oh Baby! stamps for both cards - stamping the images onto CCD White CS with Memento ink and coloring them in with Copics (sorry I forgot to take pics of the colors I used! Since it was last week I have put them all away).

On the kraft cardstock I did the "grid technique" that is this week's ATS DT challenge - you can check out all the DT samples HERE (and join in the challenge if you'd like!).

Ribbon on both is May Arts. Blue ribbon is from here and pink from here.

Colored cardstock is all Doodlebug Textured CS.

Jumbo brads are all Basic Grey and the circles and scalloped circles were all cut with my nestabilities dies.

Gotta run - super busy day ahead!

Sketch Sample Shaker Card

AMYRS68 I finally got something made for LAST WEEK's sketch (I know I'm horrible!) and it uses Diane's new Get Well Critters stamp set:

CCD CC Caught a Bug Shaker Card by AmyR

CCD CC Caught a Bug Shaker Card Closeup by AmyR

Haha didn't it turn out CUTE??

I had this idea to use the jar stamp in the set and turn it into a shaker card. And once I got going with it it turned out to be pretty easy!

I stamped the jar onto the cardstock with black ink, then made an "X" cut in the middle with a craft knife. I then used my paper snips to trim out the inside of the jar.

I used my silver spica pen to color the top of the jar for a little added sparkle.

THEN I cut a piece of transparency the same size as the cardstock and adhered it to the back of the jar image.

I had narrow foam tape on hand (got a couple rolls of that at the Dollarama for specifically projects like this! *grin*) so I doubled that up and lined it all around the back of the cardstock making sure there were no openings.

CCD CC Caught a Bug Shaker Card Copics by AmyRI stamped the fly image from the set onto a piece of CS (cut slightly smaller than the aqua cardstock so that it wouldn't show around the edges) and colored it with Copics and dotted him with a white gel pen.

Before adhering the fly stamped image to the back of the jar image I added some pastel beads (another Dollarama purchase that I've had for years sitting in my stash) and VOILA!

CCD CC Caught a Bug Shaker Card Inside by AmyR How to finish the inside came to me last night and I love how it turned out.

I stamped the jar on an angle then stamped the sentiment inside it.

I purposely stamped the fly off the edge of the CS, then colored him in and that was it!

Obviously this is a pretty bulky card so not something I would mail unless it was in a box of some sort - but can you just picture giving this to someone that's not feeling well? It would HAVE to cheer them up!!

Supplies

STAMPS: Cookie Crumbs Get Well Critters set.

CS: CCD White, SU! Pink Pirhouette and Basic Black, PTI Aqua Mist.

INK: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers.

ACCESSORIES: Transparency, Beads, Foam Tape, Ribbon, Buttons (Making Memories), Flowers (MM), Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Die, Embroidery floss, Ranger White Gel Pen.

Sketch Card

I made a card!! Are y'all falling over in shock?? I know I almost did ROFLOL!!

The weather has FINALLY been really nice here - so I've been spending more time outside in an attempt to clean up our yard.

Anywho I made a card yesterday and got distracted with other things and forgot to post - so here it is now:

Bella Ketto Thinking of You Card Closeup by AmyR

I have been wanting some Ketto stamps from Stamping Bella ever since they were first released - and during their last free shipping sale I got a few (thanks to some Mother's Day $$ that Tim gave me!! For what he could have spent on flowers locally I was able to place an order and get free shipping at Stamping Bella - he knows what makes me happy!).

The package just arrived on Friday so between yardwork/housework/company/etc etc etc over the weekend I took a few minutes to mount them onto EZmount (I do that with all my Bella stamps - you can also use double-sided tape on an acrylic block but I prefer having all my stamps on thin black EZmount) then pulled out this one to use on this card for my latest Friday Sketch!

Bella Ketto Thinking of You Card Copics by AmyR I stamped the image onto CCD White Cardstock (I ALWAYS use Memento Tuxedo Black now when coloring with my Copics. It is the BEST ink I've tried so far. And it doesn't need to be embossed or heat set like the Brilliace Black does - which was my fave till the Memento inks were put on the market) and colored it in with my Copics.

The image didn't look "finished" after I had colored it so I went nuts with a bunch of Stickles - Diamond, Fruit Punch, Yellow, and Lime Green - and glammed it up a bit.

Bella Ketto Thinking of You Card by AmyR

I used my circle nestabilities to cut the image out and then cut a couple of scalloped circles to mat the image.

The patterned paper is Basic Grey's new Lime Rickey (I always LOVE their papers but lately I barely have a chance to USE them before new lines are released! I JUST got the Lime Rickey and Wisteria 6x6 pads and whatnot and now there's 2 more lines that were just released that ATS should be getting in right away. I guess I just need to get crackin' and create more often!! *wink*), the ribbon is May Arts and the Primas are from my stash (I cut up a big green one to use as leaves).

Bella Ketto Thinking of You Card Inside by AmyR The sentiments on the outside and inside of the card are from my Friends Sentiments set.
