Quick Card

Since I had all the supplies sitting out on my desk I thought I'd quickly make another card to share today.

This uses GinaK's Friendship Blooms stamp set - I stamped the image onto white cardstock then colored it in with Koh-i-noor colored pencils and Gina's blending stumps with OMS. It looks rather funky in the picture but I covered the vase with Icicle Stickles.

I embossed the card base with the Floral Fantasy CuttleBug folder, then used tape to adhere the lace ribbon (from May Arts) to the card before attaching the cardstock layers.

On a side note - my mouth is doing OK. As long as I remember to take my pain meds on time I'm good to go. I have not and will not drink through a straw (the dentist really emphasized with me to not do that as I def. do NOT want to get dry socket!!) and have been able to eat softer foods here and there. I am craving steak and potatoes like you wouldn't believe tho!!!! Since tomorrow is Canada day I have steak marinating in the fridge to be grilled up for supper. I'm going to see if I can eat it - it should be pretty tender and if it's cut up small enough I should be OK (I sure hope so as that is ALL I want to eat right now!!! No more baby food for me LOL!!)

Might Be Taking a Break

I got all my wisdom teeth pulled this afternoon and am not feeling too hot. Thank goodness my in-laws are taking care of my girls for the weekend so I can get some rest and pray that the pain meds kick in. So I might not have anything new to post till after the weekend.

Really the worst part about this whole thing is I AM STARVING!!!!!!! I am so unbelievably freaking hungry right now - and the thought of blending up anything at the moment doesn't appeal in the slightest..........mebbe tomorrow I can blend up a fruit smoothie (I make awesome fruit smoothies....) but 'till then I think I'm gonna be pretty miserable!

To all those who DIDN'T get any teeth pulled - have a fabulous weekend!! I'm heading to bed where I might just stay for the next day or two.........we'll see how I feel tomorrow.

For Sale

My camera batteries are recharging - I went to take a picture of the card I made yesterday and they were dead - so until they're recharged I have nothing to post!

However what I DO have is a set of 72 Prismacolor markers (this has now sold!)- barely used (a good 80% or more of them have never been used) that I would like to sell. E-mail me if you are interested! I will only take PayPal and this is first come, first serve.

What a Way To Start The Week!!

I am just *bouncin* right now ------------------->click!!!!! I never thought in a million years that I'd win anything on Tim's blog (just look at the # of comments he gets on those giveaway posts - the one I entered had 699!!!) - but I was proved wrong! It just goes to show that no matter how slim you think your chances are at winning something - it can't hurt to say "Why not?" and go for it!

This cool win couldn't have come at a better time either - a GREAT way to start the week of with something HAPPY (last week was a rather difficult one for me - pretty much everything that could go wrong did and it was really starting to get to me and bum me out!!) - I can't stop grinning!!

Buried

I'm under some tight deadlines at the moment - my Papertrey stuff arrived yesterday so I am scrambling to get my samples done as the release party is tonight!! Just wait 'till you see the sets in full - I am having a really hard time putting them down and moving on to the next thing!! FYI my stamping mojo came back with a vengence when I opened the PT parcel!! *wink*

I'm also trying to get some GinaK and CC Designs cards done - hoping that later on today I can have a card or two to post here - we'll see what happens...

I finally feel like my stampin' mojo has come back and I come down with what is felling like the start of a nasty cold. I barely got any sleep last night and today my throat hurts and everything feels stuffy - just blah!! All I want to do right now is curl up with a warm blanket and take a nap (not something I can do with 2 little girls running around - one of whom I am afraid is getting sick too!).

I have a couple of things I need to do over the lunch hour but afterwards I plan on doing some stamping - heald cold or not! - and will have somethin' to share later on today.

I got this DoodleBug glitter assortment from ATS not too long ago - and LOVE all the different colors - so last night I mixed up the black and the turquoise with some gel and did my nails with them.

Glitter - not just for papercrafting!! *wink* (altho I suppose I'll hafta use some of that glitter on a card or two..... LOL)

FYI don't forget to be checking out all the senior DT member's blogs for the Papertrey release countdown posts - the new sets are fabulous and everyone's projects so far have been amazing (as usual!). I can't wait till I can post mine!

SO busy - but here's a card!!

Sorry for the lack of posts these past couple of days - I had a super-busy weekend and this week is looking to be the same!

My stamping-mojo is STILL AWOL - I really don't know what I am gonna do - Papertrey's new stamp release is this weekend (I have my fingers crossed my stuff gets here in time!! ACK!) so I NEED to get my mojo back and samples cranked out......I *think* tho that I shouldn't have too much trouble as I just got the newest CCDesigns stamps in the mail and they are so cute!! So I'll be pulling out those today and we'll see what happens!

Anywho here is another Bella card I made last month:

I used curlysurpriseabella, colored her in with copic markers, and the sentiment is from A Muse - I colored in the letters then went over them with Stickles.

The paper was from my stash (I *think* it's from Me & My Big Ideas?), the ribbon was random scraps I had sitting here that I sewed on with my sewing machine.

I finished off the card with a few Primas and that was it!

Off to do some more laundry........

LOL I wsn't expecting all the comments and e-mails from just changing my profile picture on here - but all of you that DID notice and said something (all of which were positive!) really made my day!!!

It was high time to change the picture - that other one was OLD (over 1 1/2 years ago?? loooonnnggg time ago anyway!) and I've changed my hair quite a bit and yeah I got these glasses in the fall - so last night I pulled out the camera and snapped a couple of pics.

I wasn't even planning on showing any of them as I am wearing NO makeup (seriously) and didn't do anything special but a couple of them turned out decent so I updated the blog and my facebook profile too *grin*

I'm glad y'all like it - I have a HUGE grin on my face right now as I'm typing this!!

Oh and just a little funny - I took this picture in my bathroom - that's one of my big fuschia bath sheets hanging on the shower door behind me.......I really do love those towels.........*wink*

Side note: I am planning on having a "round up" of sorts or a feature post where I will post links and/or pics with links to everyone's creations when they play along with my card sketches. I love to see what everyone comes up with and I want all my other readers to be able to easily see them too! That has been on my mind for a while so hopefully I can start doing that SOON!!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I never got my Friday Sketch posted yesterday. I had planned on making one with my sample and got the call from my sister - I took her to the hospital (driving her there on the highway to the city (over an hour away) on a Friday afternoon with long weekend traffic was interesting let me tell you!!!) and she ended up giving birth last night to a gorgeous baby girl!!!!

I just got home from the hospital (I stayed there overnight with her) so I'm going on about 2 hours of sleep and am completely exhausted. I will upload a pic of the new little girlie (man I got a serious case of baby fever holding her but being in the labour and delivery ward and hearing what some of the other women were going through cleared that up pretty quickly *wink*) once I actually bring in my camera and upload the pictures LOL!

I took this one this morning. The little monkey already loves sucking on her fingers and has quite the attitude yet sleeps SO well! And TONS of really dark hair that is oh-so-fuzzy....................mmmm that new baby smell!!!!!!!!! Not to mention she weighed in at EXACTLY the same amount my oldest did when she was born (6lbs14oz) - I forgot how tiny that was..........
