Side note - the girls first swimming lesson went....well lets just say they both pretty much had a death grip on me the entire time (I HAD to get in the pool with them - which I kind of assumed would happen so I had brought my bathing suit with me) and Josie cried for most of it. It was pretty frustrating but we're going back every morning for the next 2 weeks so I'm really hoping that they realize just how fun it really is LOL!!

My mom used up all the thank you cards she had on hand that I had given her - so last night I sat down and made a bunch more.
I took one sheet of Crate Paper and cut it into 9 pieces (***if you cut them 4x4" you get 9 out of a whole sheet of 12x12 paper - I cut mine a little smaller for these cards***).
I used Papertrey's Butterfly Kisses and Paper Tray stamp sets to make all the cards.
The first set uses Lovely Lilac (Stampin' Up!) card stock, Brilliance Lavender and Brilliance Graphite Black Inks, and Michaels black velvet ribbon.
I ran the white card stock through my CuttleBug using the scalloped rectangle Nestabilities die to cut and then emboss each one. I then stamped the butterfly and sentiment.
The "flight trail" was made with an Ornare piercing template Lauren got for me ages ago.
The second set uses Regal Rose (SU!) card stock and ink and one of the other butterfly images from the Butterfly Kisses set.
I used my edge distresser to scrape the edges of the black card stock and rough it up, then added some black eyelets and they were done!
TONS of new things are going on with the arrival of November (is anyone else totally shocked at how fast time is flying by?? It's NOVEMBER!!!! ACK!).

The Essential Sentiments set is just that - ESSENTIAL. That set is a MUST!! I LOVE it and can see myself reaching for it over and over again!!

CC Designs will be releasing 2 new little stamp sets on November 7th. Sadly my sets haven't arrived in the mail yet but several other members of the Design Team have received theirs and have been posting in the All That Scraps gallery as well as on their blogs - you can access all their blogs from the DT page on ATS HERE <----click!! Trust me it's worth checking out all their blogs if you don't already frequent them - they do FABULOUS work!! I'm so proud of all of them!

And lastly - I'm leaving for a stamping/scrapbooking retreat tomorrow and not coming back till Sunday! I can't wait!!! I do have a few things I'd like to post before I leave but I can't promise I'll get them up in time b/c it's already 11 pm here and I haven't packed yet (too many things to do and a major procrastination issue going on here).

Normally I am able to keep up with all that I do with the Design Teams I'm on and all the stuff on the home front too bit allofasudden it hit me this morning what all I have going on!!
Well I mowed the lawn yesterday and watered the flowers, and did a ton of dishes and whatnot, and right now the girls are watching Little Bear on TV - so the home front is taken care of (for the moment!). I still have about 50 loads of laundry to do and fold but I'm procrastinating on that part!!
But right now all the design stuff is catching up with me - ACK!!
Papertrey's newest set is being released at midnight Pacific TONIGHT!! Make sure to check it out - it's really cool! (I DID get my samples done in time - I just hope everyone likes them!) Nichole has posted several (totally fabulous I might add) samples of it on her blog here - check those out too!

Starting at midnight tonight y'all can start pre-ordering the new scalloped Marvy punches over at Papertrey!! They're getting in all the current scalloped shapes plus the new sizes and the new scalloped hearts and rectangles!! :o) (for some cool ideas on how to use the punches check out Nichole's blog - she's done some really neat things with them!!)
Oh and I always get asked which punches so I own and which ones do I recommend - well I have:
The Giga Scalloped Square, Circle and Oval (Giga is the largest - it's the purple one)
The Mega Scalloped Circle and Oval (the square one is on it's way here soon!) (Mega is the next size down and fits nicely inside the Giga and they're the pink ones)
The Mega Plain Oval, Circle and Square (again the pink ones). (I want to get the Super Jumbo size (blue ones) in these 3 plain shapes as well so that they can fit inside all the Mega shapes).
Personally I use all of them a lot! I am the last person to ask for recommendations b/c I have to have them all and now all these new ones are coming out so I'm screwed!! ROFLOL!!!!
Also the new Hot Stuff set is now available from My Favorite Things (and I *think* AllThatScraps and eP will have that in to sell soon as well!!)
I wanted to share a quick card I just made but as I went to take a pic of it the batteries in my camera died - so once they're done charging I'll try to upload it later ---------- happy shopping!! *wink*
I get a TON of questions about the oval stamps I use in almost all the cards I make (I can't help it!! They never feel complete w/out them!!).
I have 2 sizes, a small one and a large one and I use *BOTH* of them a LOT - it usually depends on the sizes of the images I'm working w/ whether I use one or the other - but I couldn't live w/out either of them!!
The ovals are from A Muse (<---click on it and it will take you directly to their site) and you can see them both here (<---- click again and then scroll down a little till you see the "skinny oval bl" and "skinny oval bl sm" - those are them!!).
If you have a store in your area that sells A Muse stamps you can check there for these ovals and/or ask if they can order them in for you.
If you don't have a store locally that you can get them from (or like me you live in the middle of NOWHERE and have to have everything shipped in ROFL!!) you can call A Muse or fax in an order (the info is on their website) to them - they're super-nice to deal with. I called and told them what I wanted and it got shipped out to me w/in the next day or two.
Don't forget to check out their other stamps and accessories too - they have some really cute stuff!!

ETA - I got more questions so here are the answers :o) :
Yes I stamp the main image first then mask it (I just use regular old sticky notes - you can see how I do that here) THEN stamp the ovals - it's really quite simple and easy. I keep my masks w/ the stamps they are for as I don't have the time to cut out a fresh one every time I need one.
*Most* of the A Muse stamps are rubber and wood mounted (and yes the ovals are rubber and wood mounted) - only a few of their stamps are clear acrylic (like their alphas) - and it says that w/ their description on the A Muse site.
