It's a good thing I filmed a few cards a couple months ago before we moved all my stamp stuff and started the renovations - other than one card (which I never filmed and ended up with horrible pictures of b/c I was in a rush) I haven't stamped a thing! :( Life's just been too hectic lately.
Anywho I had made this birthday card for a friend of my daughter's and am pretty pleased with how it turned out!
With the gift card inside it (that inspired the color combo):
I haven't made any new cards in over a week - and not sure when I'll get the chance to :(. I mentioned in my earlier post that we've moved all my stamp stuff out of the room it was in and I'm still trying to get used to dealing with less than 1/2 the space I had. Even though it's only temporary 'till we get all the renovations done with my expanding size (I swear I knock into everything already LOL) and having WAY less space to work in I'm finding it rather difficult to make it all work!
Thankfully I still have a few video files on hand of cards I've made a while ago and just haven't had the time to edit and upload - this being one of them.
If you missed my other birthday cards I've posted this year so far you can find them here:
I was SO pleased with how this card turned out. It was just one of those times that everything "clicked" and came out exactly how I was picturing it in my head *grin*.
As it seems to be the theme with me lately I need to get this post done up QUICK lol - I have to get to work right away then as soon as I'm done I'm jetting off to Edmonton (6 hour drive from here) with my mom for a huge retail trade show that's on right now. She's closed her coffee shop and is planning on opening a ladies clothing store this summer. So we're heading there to order all sorts of clothing, accessories etc etc etc for all the fall and winter releases.
So yeah I've got a TON on my plate right now and even more than usual ;) but my life is always busy/crazy/hectic anyway *wink*. AND I'm bringing my own comfortable pillow and body pillow b/c I *hate* sleeping in hotels and their pillows are always too flat for me - and right now I need all the comfort I can get!
I mentioned in my last little haul video that I've made quite a few birthday cards lately b/c it's just that time of year for me. I WILL get some Easter cards made and posted but obviously not for another few days as I just won't be able to stamp till after this weekend :(. But since I had this one done and filmed I thought I'd quickly get it done to post before I leave!
This was what inspired the card - the gift I got for my friend:
Isn't it pretty? A local store here started carrying them and I love them. I have a couple of these tea mugs that I got last year for myself and I love them - they are so pretty and have their own little mesh basket so you can brew your loose tea right in the mug.
So obviously this inspired the card:

I've become one of those people that LIVES for weekends. Even though when the weekend finally gets here (like now!) it just means I have a TON of laundry and housekeeping and "catching up" to do (but with my current "condition" I can at least sneak in a nap here and there between loads of laundry and whatnot *wink*).
Also it's becoming the only time I have to stamp and get crafty. After a full day of work I don't have the energy (or creativity) to make things after - but that's also been due to the lack of sunlight here during the winter. It's still winter outside here in SK (we don't even hope for spring 'till the end of March at the earliest - double blah!) but it's been staying lighter outside for longer each day and that makes SUCH a huge difference.
**OH and before I forget (I meant to announce this yesterday but ran out of time) - All That Scraps is now a Member Company at Splitcoast! If you're not at all familiar with splitcoaststampers.com head on over there. It's FREE to set up a profile and you'll have access to the forums and gallery and tutorials etc etc etc. I've been a member for years now (I've even got a couple tutorials on there that were published years ago). I haven't been all that active on the forums for some time but now that ATS has their own forum on there I plan on popping in from time to time to "chat".
You can find the ATS forum HERE <------click! It *just* went live yesterday so it will take a while to get some conversations going!! :)**
I can't for the life of me remember what patterned paper pack this is from - I'm sure if I dug through my stash I'd find it but I'm 99% sure it's not available anymore anyway (though when I say that I usually get proven wrong LOL!).
Again I colored her as a redhead - my oldest girl's hair isn't *really* that red - hers is more of a really pretty deep strawberry blond now - it's hard to explain and looks different all the time.
*side note - last year during parent-teacher interviews her teacher informed me that one of the boys in her class had THE biggest crush on her and went on and on during *his* interview about V's "beautiful red hair". It was hilarious (as it always is when they're little - give it a couple more years and I'll prolly SEE red any time a boy starts batting eyes at my girls LOL!!!).*
I had enough time this morning before work to get this video edited and uploaded. With this "series" it will just run all year and when I've made a b-day card I'll put it with this. So other series - like the Spring one I've got going on right now - will just keep going around them :)
I've already made a few b-day cards this year and have all the files etc. on my computer so I thought I'd better get to posting them before I forget all about them or they get lost amidst everything else I have going on! ;)
So here's the first one:
*sadly this Greeting Farm Wild Sprouts Reeta image is no longer available. I looked on their site and it's not even available as a digi image either *sad face*. It's on of my favorites so I keep using it. Maybe they'll bring it back one of these days - one can hope!*

Hello everyone! It's Christine's (owner of All That Scraps) birthday and we all decided to have a blog hop to celebrate. So if you came here from Tracy's blog you're in the right place.
If you want to start at the beginning and/or see the list of all the "hoppers" go here:
I've known Christine for years now - ever since I purchased my first CuttleBug machine LOL! And if you're at all familiar with me and my blog you'll know that she manufactures my AmyR Stamps line. I really like working with Christine and have always apprecited her giving me a chance to design my own stamps!
I decided to accomplish two things at once by including this post/card into my Birthday Series. So if you want to check out the previous ones you can see my last post here (all the previous ones are linked in that post):
So I'm getting back into the swing of things after not stamping for over a month. Most of the posts/cards/videos from the past month were done several weeks ago. I took a vacation with my family for a couple of weeks and then I've been working more than full time since (well I was before too but that's not anything new ;)).
So not only am I trying to get my stamping mojo back but also my filming/editing/voiceover mojo too LOL!
My first attempt is this birthday card - which I've added to the series so if you've missed any so far you can find them all here:
I gotta say I had fun making this card - I remember when Christine showed me the images for the Sugarplums Beach Kit and as soon as I saw the little crab I HAD to put the "Crab.... I forgot!" sentiment in my Oh So Beachy set LOL!
Since I'm now jumping all over the place with series and videos there's a good chance people are missing previoius ones - so if you HAVE missed any of the posts in this series you can find them all here:
I get a lot of requests to show boy/masculine cards. And with good reason as they're the hardest to make cards for (and to buy gifts for...). So I made this one with a boy in mind:
**ETA - everyone's been telling me I've got the crab upside down. Now that it's been pointed out yeah you're all right LOL. But I thought he looked cute like this and after making/filming/editing all this he's staying that way LOL! Pretend the wave rolled him over and he got stuck....;)**

So this card and video are a blast-from-the-past LOL! I haven't ever posted them before but I made the card and filmed the video LAST year.
And just decided today to edit it and share it. I made the card for one of my niece's that was turning 3 - so I kept it pretty simple and didn't "fancy it up" too much as I'm sure it ended up getting trashed before the party was even over (things like that used to really bother me but now I just don't put *quite* as much time and effort into those cards *wink*).
I remembered to take pictures of it too so I can actually share the whole thing - therefore I decided to add it to my Birthday Series :)
If you missed the other 2 cards so far you can see them here:
I hope y'all had a great weekend. Mine was super-busy (as usual).
June is pretty much my busiest month of the year - lots of last-minute appointments, people getting ready for grad, weddings, heading off to the lake, school winding up etc etc etc. So it's *really* hard to find a balance between life and work and kids and "free time" (HA!).
So on top of our normally busy/hectic schedules there's all the added "extras" that make this month one whole ball of craziness. But we're already half-way through the month (already??!! That's so insane) so I'm surviving ;)
I've got another Birthday Card here for y'all. If you missed the first one of this "series" you can see it here:
Today I decided to start a Birthday Card series - this one will go on throughout the year - so they'll be posted whenever I make a birthday card and not all back-to-back like I do with the more specific series I've done so far.
I actually made this card a couple of months ago for a friend, but filmed it while I was at it and took pics before giving it away (one of the few times I was thinking and planning ahead LOL!).
To see how I made this card check out the following video:
As an afterthought I added some shimmer to his mushroom "hat" by drawing lines on it with my Copic Red Spica pen. It adds a "shimmer" when the light hits it without being crazy glittery like it would have been had I used Stickles. I love my Spica's - I always forget to use them though :P
Anywho I popped little Shroom up on dimensionals, used my Martha Stewart Grass Edger Punch on one of the green patterned papers, then added some Stampin' Up! red gingham ribbon (which I guess is retired? I've had mine for ages).
The tops of the mushrooms I paper-pieced with one of the brown patterned papers then colored in the rest of them with Copics.
On the inside of the card I kept things pretty simple. I lined it with one of the patterned papers, added another strip of the green patterned paper I edged with the grass edger punch, then stamped another sentiment from the Be Happy set and that was it!
SUPPLIES:
Martha Stewart Grass Edger Punch (I got mine from Michaels)
Did you guys have a good weekend? I spent mine playing catch-up and getting things done around the house.
I also took some time to clean up around my stamp area (something I talked about on my Facebook page as I was planning on stamping last week and got busy cleaning and organizing) and decided to take down all of my Christmas/Holiday stamps/supplies and put it all away for next year.
That way I could make room for all my lovey/Valentine themed stuff - which right now is mainly stamps - I don't have a whole lot of papers/accessories for it - but I usually can make my own with heart-shaped punches/dies etc.
And yes still planning on doing a Valentine/Love theme video series. I said that it would start around Christmas time and Christmas is only 6 days away so I better get my butt in gear!
Anywho I was going through my files and came across this card I made a couple of months ago and hadn't shared yet. I made it for someone's birthday but I was in the middle of my Halloween series at the time so I saved the pics for later then completely forgot about it (as usual).
So better late than never here it is now:
Sorry I just noticed now that the card in the picture is completely crooked! I was in a hurry the morning I took the pics as I had to put the card in with the gift before I gave it away and obviously wasn't paying attention when I was editing. oops.
I used a couple of Copics to add the shading around the image then pulled out my Label 9 dies to cut out the image.
The sentiments are from my AmyR Stamps Sassy Sentiments Rubber Stamp set. I stamped them using Brilliace Graphite Black ink onto the patterned paper then cut this one out with the smaller of the Label 9 dies.
The sentiment at the top of the card I punched out with my SU Modern Label punch (the one I ALWAYS forget the name of - in fact I just had to go look at the comments on a previous post where I used this as people always need to remind me - going off to print off a label for this punch right now!!).
*OK label was made and put on punch - check off one more thing from my *to-do list*!*
All the patterned paper is from the Echo Park Happy Days 6x6 Paper Pad. The ribbon is May Arts and the brads and Prima flowers were from my stash.
On the inside of the card I die cut a piece of white cardstock with one of the largest Label 9 dies, and added another sentiment from the Sassy Sentiments set. That one I stamped onto the patterned paper then punched out with a circle punch.
And that was it! I've got some things on the go today and hopefully I will be back with another post later on...have a great day everyone!
So the other day I was in the mood to make a girly birthday card just because. After all the Halloween cards I've made and then gearing up for the Christmas cards I just needed a bit of a "break" so this was the result:
It's embarassing to admit but I had yet to use my Magical Wishes stamp set (hangs head in shame) so I decided to go with that and then pulled out my Princess Anya image to go with it.
The patterned paper is from the Echo Park Springtime pack. I die cut a bunch of the patterns with my circle Spellbinders dies.
The ribbon is Mellow Moss taffeta from Stampin' Up!
I did a video on coloring the image - you can see it here:
After I had finished filming I ended up adding a bit of V93 and V95 to her lids as "eyeshadow".
Of course I had to bling her up a bit so I added Diamond Stickles to her crown and scepter and her dress. And then a teeny bit of it to her lids cuz a girl's gotta have sparkly eyeshadow *wink*.
The little diecut branches behind the prima roses were actually made with the new C.C. Designs Cutter Mistletoe Die. I cut out the branches, sponged them with ink then trimmed them down a bit before adhering them to the card.
The sentiment like I said is from my Magical Wishes stamp set. I stamped it onto one of the patterned papers then cut it out with one of the Spellbinders tag dies (I can't find a link to them sorry!).
All those little sparkly baubles are Stamping Bella Glitter Dots. I've had them for years and always forget about them. You just glue them down with liquid glue (I used Tombow Mono Multi) and you're good to go.
On the inside of the card I followed the same "circle theme" I had going on the front - just making sure to use a "plainer" patterned paper for the largest circle as that's where the giver would write the note on.
The sentiment is again from Magical wishes - I thought it fit quite nicely on the yellow circle (and saved me from having to die-cut another label) so that's where I stamped it.
Did you know All That Scraps is now carrying Paper Smooches stamps? You can check them out HERE.
And I'm sure tons of other online retailers as well as brick&mortar stores are carrying them now too - as soon as Kim announced she'd wholesale them I think we all went nuts LOL!
**If you haven't seen it yet you can enter to win a $50 Gift Certificate to All That Scraps! Please check out THIS POST <------click! for the info on how to enter! Thank you!**
