Sneak Peek - Underwater Adventure

**I've been posting at least once a day since the 1st! There's TON to see so if you missed anything just scroll down!**

As I alluded to in yesterday's post - I have another sneak peek for y'all!

This is for the soon-to-be-released Underwater Adventure set (more info here) - this is the set that I designed my Underwater Sentiments to go with and it is seriously the most ADORABLE set EVER!!!!

When I first received the set I had a standing request for a special birthday card. It was for a little girl's birthday and the mom wanted mermaids and girly and all that fun stuff. PLUS she wanted it if possible to be a larger card (like 5x7) so that she could FRAME it for her daughters room!

A task like that is a little daunting when you know what you make is going to be on display like that! But I KNEW this set would be perfect so as soon as it arrived I got to work.

And here's the end result:

Mermaid Card by AmyR

I stamped all the images onto watercolor paper with Palette Hybrid Noir ink and watercolored them with my Peerless Watercolors.

Mermaid Card Closeup 2 by AmyRI made everything SUPER glittery with Stickles.

I cut out pretty much every single image (and multiples of the bubbles and seaweed) then added the stickles and set them all aside to dry.

I added a ton of Yellow Stickles to Emma's hair and used White Opal Liquid Pearls on the pearls in her hair and at her waist.

Mermaid Card Closeup by AmyR

The letters were diecut from cardstock using my CuttleBug Red Tag Sale alpha dies. I then coated all of them in stickles as well.

The fishy paper is from Flair's Hit the Beach line - I die cut that with one of my Spellbinders Petite Oval Dies and matted it with a scalloped oval cut from black cardstock.

I added some rhinestones from my stash and attached all the images with a TON of dimensionals once it was all dry!

I didn't bother taking a picture of the inside of the card as I kept it super simple. Since this was to be framed no one will ever see the inside again.

Beary Thanks 3x3 Note Card Box

CCD Beary Thanks 3x3 Box by AmyR

Whew! I FINALLY got this done! I set out to make this box and the notecards in MAY back when it was posted as the Wednesday DT Challenge.

CCD Beary Thanks 3x3 Box Side View by AmyR I got as far as stamping and coloring the bears from theCCD Bear Hugs stamps and cutting them out and then they sat on my desk 'till today.

Sad I know.

I followed this SCS tutorial to make the box - it was super easy and came together quite quickly.

CCD Beary Thanks 3x3 Box Open by AmyR

I then made half a dozen 3x3 note cards to put in the box.

I went with a Thank You theme so I used my new Thank You Sentiments set on the box top, and the outside and inside of the cards.

CCD Beary Thanks 3x3 Box Cards by AmyR All the patterned paper is from the Ducks in a Row collection by October Afternoon.

I got the paper and ribbon (May Arts) from My Little Ribbon Shop.

CCD Beary Thanks 3x3 Box Single Card by AmyR I used the same layout on each note card - just alternating which side the bear sit/stood on, and attached the bear with dimensionals.

The Martha Stewart scalloped lace punch was used with white cardstock to get the lace edge.

CCD Beary Thanks 3x3 Box Card Inside by AmyR Like I said I used the Thank You Sentiments set on all the cards - the "Just a little note to say..." stamp was PERFECT for these.

Then on the inside I just added a small strip of one of the patterned papers and stamped "Thank You" above it.

Puppet Anya's!!

Sorry folks for being such a rotten blogger this week! I had NOTHING crafty to share, and didn't feel like making anything. To top it off I said I was going to try and take a few videos but the camera I use for that has a dead battery and I can't find the charger for it (and that ALWAYS happens when I go to use it!!).

ANYWHO I have something cute to share now. I had this idea bouncing around for a week and finally decided to sit down and make it since it IS a pretty easy project:

Check out my little popsicle puppet Anya's!

Anya Puppet Set

Anya Puppet Set Copics I pulled out all the single Anya stamps I own (all 6 of 'em! Woohoo!! LOL), stamped them onto white cardstock then colored them in with Copics.

I cut each one out and adhered it to a small popsicle stick with red line tape (and for this picture the bowl is filled with rocks to hold them in place and I dumped my entire jar of green primas to make it look prettier - I still have to clean all of them up and get them back in the jar!).

I used various Stickles on some of them to bling them up a bit. I was tempted to add some adhesive rhinestones/and or pearls but decided against it as I know the girls would pull those off (and in Josie's case there's a good chance she'd eat them - she may be 3 1/2 but I STILL catch her putting things in her mouth that she shouldn't!).

Veronica "modelled" one for me to take this picture:

Anya Puppet held by AmyR They all turned out pretty cute!

They LOVED them, as soon as Tim got home from work they were at the door showing them all to him - so cute LOL!

Butterfly Canvases

I made these for a friend's birthday a couple of weeks ago and wanted to wait until I had given it to her before posting it on here. canvases

I was inspired bythe Martha Stewart Weddings cover that I posted here and made that butterfly card with:

Butterfly Canvases by AmyR

These are 16x20" (I think that was the size - I forgot to measure them!) canvases that I got at Michaels. I mixed up some white and very light blue acrylic paint and painted both of the canvases.

Butterfly Canvases Closeup 1 by AmyR

The butterflies are stamps - I have a set by Martha Stewart that I got several months ago at Michaels, as well as the Wonderful Wings set by Stampin' Up! that was retired a few years ago (that I LOVE and will never get rid of!).

I stamped all the butterflies from each set onto cardstock (all SU!) with VersaMark and embossed them all with black embossing powder.

Then each butterfly was cut out (this part took a long time - I did it in spurts over a week. Repetitive cutting like this is really painful for me b/c I have carpal tunnel - so I did a bit at a time - it's a good way to keep my hands busy while watching a movie and keeps me from snacking LOL!) and set aside.

In total I stamped, embossed and cut out 54 butterflies. And FYI I had a full container of embossing powder when I started - and when I was done I still have a good 3/4 left - it just lasts forever!

Butterfly Canvases Closeup 2 by AmyR I arranged them in a rainbow spectrum on the canvases then glued each one in place with Ranger Glossy Accents (this stuff holds like crazy!).

You can't see it in the pictures but I also dusted each butterfly withPebbles Pearlescent chalk so that they're all shimmery.

I wasn't able to stage the canvases properly for the pictures (I was in a hurry when I took them!) but the right one is meant to hang several inches higher than the left one so that the "flight path" is more aligned.

I plan to make another set for myself but it will be slightly different. Tim seems to think I have more canvases in the garage but so far I've had no luck in finding them - if I can't I'll buy another set when I'm in the city.

I want to finish my own set like this to hang in my stamp studio (I've heard all your requests!! I went to take a video of it the other day and my camera battery was dead. By the time I found the charger and got the battery fully charged I made a mess crafting stuff and don't want to show the studio to y'all when it's such a disaster ;o)).

Bunny Baskets

CCD Bunny Baskets by AmyR

I HAD to get these done today - I had all the pieces cut out and the images colored and sitting on my desk - and I knew if I didn't finish them now I never would LOL!

These little round top boxes are a template from the SU site - you can download your own right here:

Download Round Top Box

This was a technique challenge over on SCS last month too - you can check it out here (this was where I first found the template).

The idea to adhere two of the boxes together to make a basket I got from Julie here. As soon as I saw that I knew I had to make a couple for the girls!

I just printed off the template onto copy paper, cut it out then traced it onto cardstock. I used DoodleBug cardstockfor both baskets - on the 12x12 CS you can easily fit the template twice with some leftover.

After tracing, cutting out and assembling the boxes I adhered them back-to-back then punched out an oval for the handle and tied on some ribbon (SU!).

CCD Bunny Baskets Closeup by AmyR I stamped the images from the new CCD Hunny Bunny set onto white cardstock then colored them in with my Copics.

CCD Bunny Baskets Copics by AmyR Once they were colored I highlighted areas with my white gel pen and cut them out.

I decided to adhere the images to the sides of the baskets as that way they hid all the seams LOL!

Other than the pink cardstock strips, and the yellow CS that I punched with my SU Eyelet Border punch (I am really liking that punch) I didn't add any other embellishments.

Since they're going to be given to Veronica and Josie closer to Easter I know what will eventually happen to them (well Veronica is old enough to take care of things but Josie still has some pretty destructive tendencies - with her own as well as V's toys) so I kept them as simple as possible!

CCD Bunny Baskets Top View by AmyR

The baskets turned out cut tho and I'm sure they'll love them (prolly not as much as the goodies that will be inside them but hey who can blame them LOL!!).

Bella Journal

Bella Food Journal by AmyR

OK here's another quick project I made last night. Ever since I had my girls I've wanted to lose weight. I gained a ton when pregnant both times and have had a hard time trying to get back in shape. This year I've decided that there's no sense putting it off and I'm honestly going to give it a real shot!

I was able to get a Wii fit delivered last week (man those things aren't easy to get a hold of! I found mine through Costco.ca - it came with a couple of extra accessories and a snowboarding game as well and it's been pretty fun!) and have been using it every day (and feel like I've been hit by a bus!). I love that it can keep track of my progress and it has a bunch of exercises/yoga positions etc etc that I'm not familiar with. So it's definitely well worth the $$

However my biggest downfall is food - I love snacking way too much! I've had "food journals" in the past and they lasted maybe a couple of days before I got bored. Now with my new determination to get back in shape I'm hoping I can keep this up and so I needed a new little journal to keep track of what I eat!

Weightwatcherbella to the rescue LOL!

Bella Food Journal Copics by AmyR I stamped her onto white cardstock, colored her in with some Copics, then cut her out with one of my rectangle nestabilities.

I matted the image with a large scalloped rectangle then used some Crystal Stickles to bling her up before setting aside the image to dry while I covered the journal.

The book itself is roughly 6x5 inches - it came from the dollar store.

I used my new Imaginisce Twitterpated papers to cover the front and back covers. I LOVE these new papers - they just scream spring! They have gloss effects on them too which are really cool - that red polka dotted paper is ALL gloss - just the dots aren't glossy - it's something you have to see in real life!

I just cut the paper to nudge it up against the coil - I didn't bother removing the coil to cover those parts of the covers - that would have been way too much work. I used myTombow Mono multi to adhere the paper - worked like a charm!

I added a bit of Twitterpated ribbon tied to the top coil to use as a bookmark.

Bella Food Journal Closeup by AmyR I used one of my Studio G wood alpha's (from Michael's in the $1 bins) to stamp the "food journal" then cut that out with a nestabilities label before gluing it to the cover.

To embellish I used some felt flowers (from the Target $1 spot that were given to me eons ago!), some Primas and some DoodleBug brads and that was it!

SO - now the book is done and here's hoping I can stay consistent in using it - and of course hopefully it will help to serve as a reminder to lay off the snacks!

I gotta run now and get some exercising in - I've been doing the boxing and yoga and some of the strength exercises along with the aerobics on the Wii fit - it doesn't take long to really start to feel the burn!

Super Quick Valentine's Gift

CCD AmyR Stamps Bunny Valentine Heart Container by AmyR

I whipped this up last night before Tim and I sat down to watch a movie together after the girls were in bed. It took maybe 15-20 minutes tops??

All I did was take one of these clear plastic heart containers from ATS (this is the smaller one - there is also a much larger one here) and decorate just the lid. I used my heart nestabilities - both the plain and scalloped. The very largest scalloped heart was used, then the plain largest. I also cut a smaller scalloped heart from some pink patterned paper (more Basic Grey Bittersweet!) to add some pop of color.

CCD AmyR Stamps Bunny Valentine Heart Container Closeup by AmyR The bunny is from CC Designs Kisses and Hugs set - I stamped him onto white CS then used my Copic (pic of the ones I used at the end of the post with the supplies) markers to color him in.

I added some Stardust Stickles to his wings, then once they were dry I cut him out and used dimensionals to attach him to the heart.

The "A Gift For You" sentiment is from my Christmas Sentiments set (perfect for all year round) - I stamped it onto the heart with black ink.

I added some Basic Grey Bittersweet buttons with pink embroidery thread, and added a little "x" stitch with the same thread, then punched a hole under the sentiment using myMaking Memories Ribbon Slot punch.

I threaded the ribbon through before adhering the heart to the lid of the container. I just used red line dots to adhere the heart - if I want I can cut another scalloped heart and adhere it to the INSIDE of the lid so that it will hide all the adhesive and whatnot.

The ribbon then wraps around the container and is tied in a bow to keep it closed! I filled it with crumpled paper for now - I wasn't about to run out and get candy just for the pictures - I've been trying REALLY hard lately to NOT bring candy into the house. The less that is around the better. I definitely don't need it and the girls (especially Josie) get way too hyper on sugar. This container would look so cute filled with Hot Hearts tho........but I won't get any till I give it away! ;)

More Snowflake Ornaments

Pink_daisy_snowflake_ornaments_by_aI've been trying to get as many things done as I possibly can in this run up to Christmas - I have SO much that I need to get done!

One thing I've been able to check off (for now) is my snowflake ornaments - I've been making more for my pink and white tree and I also made some for gifts.

This first one I made for our tree. It's the CuttleBug Ice Crystal die cut from chipboard backing (what comes on the backs of pads of paper) then painted with acrylic paint.

I then coated the snowflake with Mod Podge and covered it with pink Making Memories glitter.

I had a TON of Prima daisies in my stash from well over 2 years ago - it felt good to use them all up on these ornaments!

Pink_daisy_snowflake_ornaments_2_by I centered another snowflake (made from punching SU! Regal Rose cardstock with my Marvy Super Jumbo Snowflake punch) that I glittered up with my Quickie glue pen and ranger glitter, on the ornament then used my Crop-a-dile to punch a hole through all three and attached them with a WeR jumbo eyelet (another thing I've had a ton of sitting here waiting to be used up!!).

They turned out pretty cute I think! I used fishing line for hangers and now they're up on my tree!!

Gold_glitter_snowflake_ornament_by_ These gold snowflakes I made as a gift for my mom's tree this Christmas. They were SO time consuming but I loved making them!

I die cut the large snowflake with my Sizzix Bigz die (in the SU! Holiday Mini) then painted it gold with my gold paint dabber.

The smaller snowflake was cut with the CuttleBug Ice Crystal die, then coated with Aged Mahogony Distress Crackle Paint, after it dried and cracked I painted the other side, let it dry and crack then sponged the snowflake with burgandy ink.

I added gold tinsel between the snowflakes before attaching them with buttons and twine.

The buttons are from my stash - not having any gold ones I just picked several random ones and spray painted them gold - worked perfectly :o)

Gold_glitter_snowflake_ornament_gro I added glitter to the snowflakes by mixing some gold glitter with Mod Podge then rubbing it on to the ornaments with my finger. Once the Mod Podge dried you could no longer see the adhesive - just the glitter!

Pearl_and_pink_daisy_snowflake_orna Last but not least are these pink and white ornaments I made as a gift for a friend of mine for her Christmas tree. I painted the snowflakes pearly white with my Pearl paint dabber then sprinkled on pink glitter before the paint dried.

I sandwiched a bazzill flower between 2 snowflakes and the shimmery basket filler before attaching pink buttons with white embroidery thread.

Pearl_and_pink_daisy_snowflake_or_2 Pearl_and_pink_daisy_snowflake_or_3

The ornaments fit in a nugget tin easily - I'll be decorating the tin before I give it as a gift - I just haven't had a chance to yet!!

Pink and White Tree

Sorry this post is so late. My camera batteries died JUST as I was taking the pictures!!

Also FYI even though I'm posting pictures of the tree it's no where near "finished" - I have a lot more I want to do with it - but it generally takes me a couple of holiday season's (I'm guessing - with my "main" tree I've been working on it for a good 5 years now - still have more to go with that - I really love the whole process tho so there's no hurry) to collect/make the ornaments and to find everything I'm looking for - so while I feel like it doesn't look right yet (to me!) I'm still sharing the pics with all of you b/c I had so many requests!!

Here's my pink and white Christmas tree:

Pink_christmas_tree_dec_9_by_amyr_2 It's sitting in the corner of our dining room right now - we have a big unfinished room that will someday be my studio (for doing nails and pedicures and all that as well as house all my stamping stuff) and that is where this tree will go during the holidays. For now though it's right in plain site (which I am more than happy with LOL).

Pink_christmas_tree_star_topper_dec Sorry this picture is a little blurry - I couldn't get a better shot. I got this star topper downtown the other day (on sale for 4.99) - it was all white though.

I pulled off all the "pearls" that were on it and colored them all pink with a Copic marker and my airbrush system - worked like a charm!

I then re-attached the beads with my hot glue gun and it was good to go.

Pink_christmas_tree_ornaments_dec_9 Here's a closeup of some other snowflake ornaments I made for the tree (besides the ones I posted about here).

I used my CuttleBug Ice Crystal die and cut out a bunch of snowflakes from the chipboard notebook paper backings - then covered them with Mod Podge using a foam brush and pouring on this really sparkly pink glitter I had in my stash from years ago. In real life they're SO sparkly!

The glitter ornaments in this picture can be seen here if you missed that post.

..........................................................................................................................................

Anywho I hope y'all like my pink and white tree *grin*. It's difficult to capture just how pretty it is in real life (even if it's still needing more ornaments and whatnot!) - but I think you can get the jist of it!!

Having too much fun

Pink_snowflake_ornament_by_amyrOhhhh I am LOVING how these are turning out!!

My white and pink Christmas tree is still a work in progress - I'll take a picture of the whole tree soon!!

I made a pink version of the snowflake ornaments that I showed y'all in this post - this time using the chipboard backing you find on the backs of paper pads and whatnot. I hoard all of those as they are great to use for die cuts!!

So I die cut a bunch of the large snowflakes with the Sizzix Bigz Snowflake #2 die (from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini), painted them pink with acrylic paint and a sponge brush, then when the paint was dry I coated them with Mod Podge and poured on the glitter.

I was planning on leaving the ornaments just like that, but decided they looked a little too plain on my supposed-to-be-fabulous pink and white tree! The snowflakes that Anna Wight has been making kept popping in my head (I love everything she creates!) and I started to wonder how I could make my OWN version....

I had cut out a bunch of smaller snowflakes out of the same chipboard using my CuttleBug Ice Crystal Snowflake die and thought they would look really neat layered together. THEN I remembered that I have a ton of these big pink bazzill flowers - I sandwiched one of them between the two snowflakes and LOVED the look!!

Pink_snowflake_ornament_closeup_by_ In the pictures the smaller snowflakes look rather silver - they're actually a pearly white color - I used my Adirondack Pearl paint dabber to paint them (I am really wishing the dabbers came in more colors - they make projects like this so quick and easy - and they dry really fast too).

I added bits of shimmery "filler" (you know those bags stuff you get at easter to fill baskets) between the flowers and smaller snowflakes, and attached them all together with a big pink button from my stash tied with white embroidery thread (I just used a large needle with the embroidery thread and it pierced through all the layers without too much difficulty).

Pink_snowflake_ornament_back_by_amy I used a small button on the back when threading through the embroidery thread so that it looks "finished".

Pink_snowflake_group_of_ornaments_b Don't they just look so pretty all together like this?

I have more still to finish - they're definitely not a quick project but so satisfying (for me) to make - the snowflakes are made from recycled material, the paint, glitter, flowers, filler, buttons, etc I already had in my stash (some of it sitting here for MONTHS going unused) and using it up to make something I'm going to enjoy every holiday season just makes me giddy (that and the fact that they're PINK!!!!! *grin*).

Time Flies and More Christmas Ornaments

WAH!!!! My baby is three years old today!!! I can't believe that three years have passed already - I can still remember the night I had Josie (at 5 minutes past midnight) like it was yesterday.

We had fun in the city yesterday. Bolt was a super-cute movie (that hampster was hilarious) - if you haven't seen it I totally recommend it. I didn't know it was a 3D movie till we were getting the tickets - it's digital 3D so you wear these dorky black frame glasses with clear lenses (not the red and blue ones like the old 3D movies!) - and is it ever COOL! LOL Tim and I totally loved it - it took some convincing to get Veronica to wear the glasses - but she finally caved and enjoyed the movie. Josie downright refused to put them on and just watched without (which was too bad b/c the movie is rather blurry without the glasses) but liked it anyway. I guess there are going to be a lot more digital 3D movies coming out in the near future (including a new Ice Age movie) - so we'll be going to those too - seriously you have to go at least once!! Trust me! *grin*

Anywho tho I have a bunch of house-cleaning and decorating to do. We're going to have a little birthday dinner and party for Josie and the family so I need to get things done!!

I do have some pictures tho to share of some new ornaments I made at the retreat a month ago - it's taken me till now to get pics of them:

Snowflake_ornament_trio_by_amyr I made these using the Sizzix Large Snowflake #2 die (in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini) and lightweight chipboard coasters.

Technically the 4x4 coasters are just slightly too small - so the ends on two of the points have like a smidgen missing - but it's not noticeable.

I ran a ton of the coasters through my CuttleBug (one at a time of course!) with the die, then painted them three different colors.

.

.

Silver_snowflake_ornament_by_amyr I used a Adirondack Silver Paint dabber for the silver snowflakes - just spinging it on and not bothering to smooth it out. I wanted the textured look.

Silver_snowflake_ornament_on_tree_b Once one side was dry I flipped it over and painted the other side.

While the paint was still wet I sprinkled silver glitter on it - it sticks well to the wet paint and still adheres after it's dry - nothing else is needed to make it "stick".

Gold_snowflake_ornament_by_amyrI used a gold paint dabber for the gold snowflakes (I am loving the metallic dabbers - the paint is really thick and pigmented - it doesn't take much to fully cover the surface - and definitely no second coat needed!) and sprinkled on gold glitter while the pain was still wet. Gold_snowflake_ornament_on_tree_by_

Blue_glitter_snowflake_ornament_by_ For the blue snowflakes I used navy acrylic paint ane painted them with a sponge brush. When they were dry I coated them with Mod Podge and poured on Crystal Glitter. Blue_glitter_snowflake_ornament_on_ I used fishing line for hangers on all of them - that way you can't see them on the tree!

I love how they turned out - and FYI if you try these and use glitter be prepared to make a mess LOL! I had glitter EVERYWHERE - there were even little trails of it when I walked around. It was a messy project but so fun - I have been loving making a bunch of my own ornaments and ones like these are CHEAP to make - the lightweight coasters work out to .10 each, then the glitter and paint and fishing line (which I already had - or well Tim did!!) it can't be more than .20 each. I don't include the cost of the die b/c I can use it over and over again and for other things too!

OK this post took way longer than I planned - I need to run and start cleaning and make a cake of some sort!!!

Sidetracked...

I know I said I'd have a card to share today - I ended up making a bunch of these instead:

Pink_christmas_ornaments_by_amyr

I recently got a white Christmas tree from one of my mom's friends for cheap - and my goal is to decorate it with pink ornaments! Tim thinks I'm nuts (just a little *wink*) but I can't wait - and I know the girls will love it too!

I picked up several packs of clear glass ornaments at Michaels last week (on sale for 50% off of course) and a big container of Martha Stewart glitter (with a 50% off coupon) and got to work on them today. The darker pink ones were done with Stampin' Up! Classic Pixie Pink re-inker, and the smaller ones with SU! Pretty in Pink re-inker.

When I get the tree all decorated I'll post a picture - I'm still in the middle of making these ornaments (and making a glorious mess - even with wearing gloves I have ink and glitter everywhere), plus I have some other ornaments in the works.

In case you're wondering my tutorial on how to make these yourself can be seen here:

How to Make a Glitter & Re-inker Ornament

Sneak Peek Frame - My Rubber Ducky

Ccd_mrd_frame_by_amyr The idea for this frame popped in my head yesterday so I HAD to make it!

My brother-in-law and his wife just had their first baby on Sunday night and named him Levi James - so I made this frame for him.

The colors and papers in this kit (more deets on the kit HERE) are PERFECT for boys! So the frame was a snap to make.

I got the frame from Michaels (1.50) months ago. Pulled out the chipboard in the middle then flipped it over onto the green cardstock and traced it before cutting the CS with scissors. I added the strip of patterned paper to the CS and used my sewing machine on either side of the patterned paper.

Ccd_mrd_frame_2_by_amyr I adhered the CS to the frame and used my Basic Grey Precision File set around the edges. THEN I painted the rest of the frame with white acrylic paint - purposely going over some of the edges.

I used the black cardstock and my CuttleBug with 2 different Alphabets (Harmony and Red Tag) to make the lettering. I just used dabs of Mono Multi to attach the letters to the frame. Quick and easy.

Ccd_mrd_frame_3_by_amyr I stamped the images onto the white CS (from the kit) and colored them in with Copics before cutting them out.

This monkey has Crystal stickles (also from the kit) on all the foam and bubbles.

Ccd_mrd_frame_4_by_amyr I used Stickles on the soap the bear is holding and DoodleBug Velvet flock on his towel and slippers so that they're fuzzy :o) I just used my Quickie glue pen on the areas I wanted to have the flocking, sprinkled it on, pressed it in place then tapped off the excess.

Ccd_mrd_frame_5_by_amyrAll the images were attached with red line dimensionals (so they'll never come off!) and I attached the ribbon with sticky strip.

.......................................................................................................................................

I'm REALLY happy with how this turned out - and hope the new mommy and daddy like it too!

Don't forget to check out this post with more info (and a TON of Design Team samples!) about the kit! It along with the stamps are being released at 10pm EST tonight at All That Scraps!

What's In Your Tin?

Gkd_candy_tin_by_amyr I sat down the other night and pulled out Melanie's What's in Your Tin 1 & 2 stamp sets. I got a couple of Altoid Tins from GinaK's store (which are the size that Melanie's sets were made for) and altered them both using some patterned paper and her stamps.

This first one uses the What's In Your Tin 1 set and patterned paper from Basic Grey's Cupcake Collection.

I used the sprinkle paper for the top, stamped the frame with red ink, then stamped the sentiment with blue ink.

I used Stampin' Up! ribbon to line the bottom of Gkd_candy_tin_inside_by_amyrthe tin (strong double-sided adhesive works great to adhere ribbon and paper to tins like this).

I lined the inside of the tin with some other papers from the Basic Grey set, then filled it with a few suckers.

I think these would make great little gifts or party favors don't you??

Gkd_especially_for_you_tin_by_amyr For my second tin I wanted a more elegant feminine feel to it.

I used the What's In Your Tin 2 set along with GinaK's Comfort & Peace set.

I stamped the floral image first (I inked it up with markers), then stamped the frame with ColorBox pigment ink and heat embossed it with clear glittery embossing powder.

IGkd_especially_for_you_tin_closeup_ sponged the edges of the cardstock with yellow ink before adhering it to the tin lid.

The ribbon wrapped around the base is May Arts.

Gkd_especially_for_you_tin_inside_b I lined the inside of the tin with some green Basic Grey paper, then filled it with some fancy chocolates I bought at Costco some time ago (and that I shockingly have some left of!).

WOW

How wonderful is THIS?? <------click!!

I seriously want to make like 10 sets of these and hang them in every window!! They're beautiful!

Of course the button one is my fave (I could make dozens of those with my button collection..........*grin*).....

*note to self - MUST get those butterfly chipboard pieces.......the bird ones are cute too.........*
