Hello Pumpkin

I went a little crazy about 2 weeks ago and placed 2 online orders - one from Stamping Bella and one from A Muse. Funny thing tho is pretty much everything I ordered from A Muse was to "compliment" the Bellas and whatnot I ordered.

I have really started to delve into unmounted only stamps (way cheaper and takes up less space!) but there are a couple of exceptions to my "UM only" rule - and A Muse stamps are one of them b/c I actually USE the stamps and use them a lot!

Anywho it was pretty funny that BOTH orders arrived at the same time - so I was able to play right away!! And here is the first thing I made:

Bella_hello_pumpkin_card_by_amyrI just LOVE trickortreatabella - I don't know what it is but I ADORE all things Halloween. We don't really celebrate Halloween, and if I sent out a Halloween card to any of my friends or family they'd think I was a nut - but I make them anyway LOL!

I stamped the bella and used my Copics to color her in. I masked her feet (tutorial on that here) and stamped an A Muse oval (did you see they now have an oval clear set?? I got that with my order - all the ovals in the set are different from the wood-mounted ones (all of which I have) so it's definitely a good one to have!) to "ground" her.

The sentiment is from A Muse as well (see? it's PERFECT for this Bella!).

Bella_hello_pumpkin_card_closeup_by Even in this picture it's hard to tell but I added Sunshiney Yellow fun flock to her pumpkin suit (using my glue pen), and glazed both the pumpkin she's holding and her boots with my Sakura clear glaze pen.

I used the CuttleBug Spider Web embossing folder on the black CS (it's a thicker textured CS so it cracked a bit when it was embossed (a light spritz of water could have prevented it but I wanted it like that) which just looked cool in my opinion!).

The patterned paper, textured cardstock cardbase, and the mat for the main image are all from the KI Haunted Line. The ribbon is May Arts textured, and I finished off the card with a few Grape Juice baubles from Stamping Bella and that was it!

I used the frosted cupcake stamp by A Muse - inking up only the cupcake image 3 times, coloring them in with Copic markers then punching them out with a circle punch. I don't know if you can tell but each cherry on the cupcakes is an A Muse twinkle sticker!

I can't wait to see what you all make with this layout!

Dog and Pony Show Part 2

Tt_dog_and_pony_show_5_by_amyr I had planned on having these posted this morning but I ended up doing a bunch of running around this morning then got hit with a nasty tension headache this afternoon that is STILL lingering a little........grrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

So anywho here are the last 4 cards I made in this "Dog and Pony Show Set".

All the info with supplies and links is in the first post - there's no point really to repeat myself on all of that.

Hope y'all like 'em!!

Dog and Pony Show

Tt_dog_and_pony_show_1_by_amyrWhen I was in the city a few weeks ago for class I snuck over to my local scrapbook store during the lunch break to do a little shopping.

I didn't find much but I DID spy this stamp set by Technique Tuesday called Dog and Pony Show. It was too cute to pass up!

I then ended up getting sick so this set sat on my desk for a couple of weeks before I could even attempt to ink it up.

But now that's no longer the case - I ended up playing around with the set and some Chatterbox patterned paper and made several cards after I Tt_dog_and_pony_show_2_by_amyrgot  better. It was a great way to get my mojo back after not stamping for a good 2 weeks!

All the animals were stamped with Brilliance Graphite black ink and heat set before coloring them.

I used Copic markers to color in all the animals. Each image was outlined with Copic's Warm Grey 1 marker.

All the sentiments are from A Muse - I have several that are just perfect for images like this.

The oval stamps are also by A Muse - I masked the images with Eclipse masking tape then stamped the ovals using Stampin' Up! Classic inks.

Tt_dog_and_pony_show_3_by_amyr I used various ribbons from my stash for embellishing, and a couple of different colors of DoodleBug brads too.

I used 3 or 4 different sheets of the Chatterbox papers - they're double sided so the green and red papers are just the reverse sides of the patterned papers (I don't have the names of the patterns - sorry! I just grabbed them from their container and started cutting away and tossed the ends with the names before thinking I should have written them down!).

Tt_dog_and_pony_show_4_by_amyrIf you look closely you can see a bit of the patterned paper on the insides of each card - I  added strips of the various papers to the inside to give them a more "finished" appeal - plus it's a GREAT way to use up and little leftover strips of patterned papers instead of tossing them.

These ended up being a LOT of fun to make! I played around with the images and the papers and each one has a different layout and whatnot.

I made 8 cards for this "set" - this is just the first 4 - I will upload all the rest either later today or tomorrow.

I got you babe

Magnet_bella_card Hello everyone!

I was going through my computer files yesterday and came across this picture and realized I'd never shared it! I made this card MONTHS ago!!

It uses retailfellabella and I colored them in with Copic markers, then masked them (tutorial here) and stamped A Muse's Skinny Oval bl (the biggest one) in Garden Green (Stampin' Up!) ink for the ground.

The patterned paper is Stampin' Up!'s Fall Flowers collection - I used my Janome Sew Mini sewing machine to zig zag stitch around the edges.

The sentiment is also from A Muse.

The flower is a fabric one by Bazzill - it was originally white so I used a Copic marker to color it orange.

The card measured 5.5" square - so I made a matching envelope for it out of some of the same patterned paper.

Friends Forever

Elzybells_friends_forever_by_amyr Yup - 2 ElzyBells cards in one week! Go me! LOL

I stamped the holding hands Elzy's onto Papertrey white CS then colored them in with Copic markers.

I masked their feet (tutorial on that here) and stamped A Muse's Mini Oval using Papertrey's new Aqua Mist ink.

The big flower is from Prima and I attached it by threading through some Papertrey polka-dotted Spring Moss ribbon and tying it off.

The sentiment is also from ElzyBells - stamped onto Papertrey Aqua Mist CS (and yes their colored CS is as heavy a weight as their white - it's fabulous!), and I added a little band of black CS to set it off (tutorial on how I make my scalloped edges is here).

Have a happy Thursday everyone!!

Thinking of You

Elzybells_thinking_of_you_by_amyr This was a rather quick card I made the other night ---- I just used stuff I had sitting out on my  desk (yes ---- I was procrastinating cleaning up my desk and stamped a card instead LOL!).

I have several of the ElzyBells NA Friendship line stamps here and haven't used them yet and they are SO cute - so I used a couple on this card.

I colored in the little Girl on a Swing stamp with Copic markers then matted the image with some brown card stock.

The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Lily Kate 6x6 paper pack, the ribbon is May Arts and the flowers are from Prima.

The sentiment is another ElzyBells Stamp.

ElzyBells Friendship

Ebna_thinking_of_you_by_amyr_3

I don't know about you - but I am in LOVE with ElzyBells stamps!!

I got several of their winter and holiday stamps, and when the Friendship line was released I had THE hardest time picking - I wanted them all!!

The new Spring release doesn't have any new Elzy girls but those little chicks are ADORABLE (my fave is the Mini Chick Bee stamp - I think it's just the sweetest stamp ever - LOL).

Anywho I am finally getting the chance to create with the new Elzy stamps I got and made this card first.

I stamped the car onto Papertrey white CS then colored it in with Copic Markers. I made the "exhaust" by pouncing a little silver Pebbles Pearlescent chalk onto the CS, and then added some of the pink to the car just for fun :o)

The dotted background is a NEW background stamp by CC Designs.

The sentiment is also from ElzyBellsNA.

The checkered ribbon is May Arts, the grosgrain was from a share I was in over a year ago.

Isn't she just so cute in her pink car?????.........I want a pink car.......................

Finally

Ahhhhhhhhhhh....................

Well the dishes are done, the girls were fed and are now in bed, the laundry is done AND folded and most of it's put away (I am REALLY proud of myself for that - I usually put off folding b/c I HATE it with a passion!!) and now I just need to pick out something to wear for tomorrow and make sure I don't forget anything and MUST remember to set the alarm b/c I have to be up super-early b/c it's an hour and a half drive.......

Anywho here's the card I promised earlier:

Birthday_bella_by_amyr_3

Partygirlabella was stamped onto Papertrey white CS then colored in with Copic Markers.

You prolly can't tell but the heart balloons were covered in Star Dust Stickles.

I masked the Bella (tutorial here) and stamped A Muse's Small oval for "ground" - the sentiment is also from A Muse.

The ribbon is May Arts, the flowers are Prima, and the patterned paper is from a K&Co slab I got at Costco!

...........................................................

FYI Stamping Bella is having a FREE shipping promo over the weekend - you can find out the code here.

Friday Sketch! #6

OK it's a day late but here it is! I'm feeling a bit better - I don't hurt all over but I'm fighting a headache and praying it doesn't get worse.

Veronica got sick last night and threw up all over so I'm keeping a closer eye on her and Josie today - they seem OK but they usually get sick in the blink of an eye without warning......

Thank you for all the well-wishes too - I really appreciate it! :o)

Now on to the sketch:

Hey_sexy_bella_by_amyr

This card was actually based on a layout I did on a CC Designs card in THIS post.

I altered the original sketch a bit to fit this bella image (I LOVE this new style - and I'd kill to have a butt like that LOL!) that I stamped and colored with Copic markers.

I masked the bella (tutorial on that here) and stamped A Muse's Mini Oval for the ground.

The patterned paper is from a K&Co slab I got at Costco.

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Essential Sentiments set (a MUST have!) and I stamped it onto the card base and punched out a window with Stampin' Up!'s word window punch.

Ribbon is May Arts.

...........................................................................................................

So here is the actual sketch based on the original card posted here:

Happy stamping! :o)

A Gift For You

Bellas_gift_by_amyr Here's a quick Bella card for today - I am trying to get multiple projects done right now then have oodles of pictures to take - I'm hoping ot be back later with another fun post but we'll see how my day goes!

Here's the card deets:

Bella stamp is presentahbella by Stamping Bella.

I stamped it with Brilliance Graphite black ink then colored her in with Copic Markers.

The sentiment is from A Muse (TOO perfect for this Bella - I swear so many of my A Muse sentiment seem to be MADE for the Bellas LOL!).

Patterned paper is from my K&Co slab that I got at Costco.

Ribbon is from Michaels, and the Prima Sprites are attached with a button from my stash.

Have a happy Tuesday everyone!! :o)

Birthday Blowout

I actually participated in a couple of Splitcoast Challenges! YAY me! LOL

This week's color challenge was an interesting one: YoYo Yellow, Going Gray and Basic Gray. I like yellow but this was definitely out of the norm so I wanted to play along.

And then I saw the sketch challenge and I was off and running:

Sc161

I knew right away what stamps I wanted to use, my color combo and layout were already set - so I was good to go! And here's what I came up with:

Su_birthday_blowout_by_amyr Even tho Stampin' Up!'s Hip Hip Hooray set is retired I still LOVE this set - I just think it is so cute!

I stamped the raccoon in Basic Gray ink then used a blender pen and inks to color him in. I cheated and added a little Pretty in Pink to the color combo - as I was filling in the ears I decided to go a little further with it and added it to his clothes as well...

The balloons were stamped onto a scrap of card stock and cut out and adhered.

The ribbon is May Arts - I got the idea to add the button with the little ribbon flag from this post Anna did the other day.

The sentiment was stamped with yellow chalk ink and is kind of hard to see in the picture (you can click on it to get a pop-up window with a bigger image) - it says "birthday blowout" (the sentiment is from A Muse - I'm not sure if it's retired or not...).

I actually really like this color combo! I think adding a teeny bit of an accent color (I was originally going to do blue but since I already had the pink out I went with that) just makes it POP all the more!

STAMPS: Hip Hip Hooray set by SU!, sentiment by A Muse. CS: Papertrey White, Whisper White, YoYo Yellow, Going Gray and Basic Gray (all SU!). INK: YoYo Yellow, Going Gray and Basic Gray, Pretty In Pink. ACCESSORIES: Blender Pens, Ribbon, Button, String.

Friday Sketch! #4

Bella_you_rock_by_amyrHere's my new Friday Sketch!!

I wasn't sure what I was going to post today, but as I was on the phone this morning I started sifting through the stack (yes it is a stack!) of Bella images I had stamped out a while ago - and some of them were already colored in.....

So I pulled out the ipodabella image I colored the other day and made a card with it for my sketch challenge!

I had used Copic markers to color her in - and when I colored her I used this bottle of Prima Got Prints flowers as inspiration.

If you click on the picture you'll get a pop-up window with a larger view - and you can see that the Primas have little music symbols on them!! I HAD to use them with this Bella b/c really - how perfect was that?

The sentiment and iPod stamp are by A Muse (2 more things that go great with this Bella LOL!).

Amyrs12

STAMPS: iPodabella by Stamping Bella, iPod and sentiment by A Muse. CS: Papertrey White, Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise and Pink Passion by Stampin' Up!. INK: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers, Pink Passion. ACCESSORIES: Dimensionals, Prima Flowers, Bazzill Brads, Ribbon, Corner Rounder Punch.

And here's the sketch:
