Hello everyone! It's time for the Release Rewind for MFT's April release - a chance for the Design Team to make some creations with some of the products we haven't had a chance to play with yet!
Make sure to check out MFT's blog post here for links to the DT members playing along today (and then check out their blog tomorrow too for the other half!).
For my cards today I did some more multi-tasking (it's my favorite *wink*) and played along with 2 of MFT's latest challenges:
and the latest Wednesday Sketch Challenge:
Here's the first card I made:
I LOVE the new TRANSFORM-ables Say Hello Die-namics - and it just goes to show how great this month's release has been that I haven't had a chance to use it 'til now!!
I die cut the hello from Sweet Tooth and Blu Raspberry card stock and adhered it together to make the "hello" pop. I used the new On the Diagonal background stamp with Sweet Tooth ink on the Gumdrop Green card stock, and die cut the flower from Razzle Berry felt using the Large Rolled Rose Die-namics.
I finished off the inside of the card with another strip of Gumdrop Green card stock stamped with the On the Diagonal background and die cut another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock with the solid die from the TRANSFORM-ables Say Hello Die-namics set for a spot to write and that was it!
For my second card I used the same layout and color combo:
This time I used the Cloudy Day stencil and white embossing paste on a piece of Blu Raspberry card stock, and paired it with a sentiment from the Blue Skies Ahead stamp set and added an umbrella cut with the new Layered Umbrella Die-namics.
I love the dimension the embossing paste gives when used with the stencil (something I'm still working on - it's a tad messy to work with these and it irks my OCD but it IS fun!).
I coated parts of the umbrella with my Dark Pink Wink of Stella shimmer brush - I LOVE combining that with MFT's Razzle Berry card stock - it just deepens the color and the shimmer is to die for!
I finished off the inside of the card with another die cut circle and a sentiment from the Blue Skies Ahead set and that was it!
