Friday Sketch! #44
This post is a lot later than I planned. I went to bed early last night and slept in just bit this morning - I so needed that!! I'm also still playing catch-up with everything around the house that went un-done when we had no water over the weekend. So many fun things going on around here eh? *sigh*
Anywho here's the card I made for today's Sketch:
I kept it SUPER simple for this week. I really wasn't feeling up to making a difficult sketch and a card to go with it!
I pulled out my Wedding stamp set and used the sock images for the first time on this card. I paper pieced them using the Basic Grey Eva 6x6 patterned papers. I cut the white cardstock with the Nestabilities Labels 1 die (I JUST got these after wanting them for months! So I might be using them a lot in the near future *grin*), and after embossing the CS I left the die in place and stippled on some green ink (thus leaving the die in place creates a white border - I love that look!).
I ran the pink cardstock through my CuttleBug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder, and punched a hole (SU! Word Window punch) in the top right for the sentiment (also from the Wedding set - it fit perfectly!).
The green ribbon is May Arts, I just wrapped it around and taped the ends to the back of the CS. I then used some thinner pink grosgrain from my stash and tied it in a bow over the green. I added a couple of Eva buttons to each side of the main image and that was it for the front.
I was going to use the largest Labels 1 Nestie for the inside but it was too "square" shaped - so I used my SU! Top Note die instead.
I lined the inside with the same patterned paper as the front, then adhered the die cut white cardstock. I stamped a second pair of socks and paper pieced them like the card front pair and that was it!
