I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!! This has to be a quick post from me as we're still celebrating - Tim's side of the family will be here soon to celebrate (I've got the turkey in the oven and my fingers crossed that it turns out, and soon I'll have to start making the rest of the dinner, and a fresh apple crisp for dessert to finish it all off I think :)).
The girls got spoiled of course - and there will be more gifts from Tim's parents - eeek!
I got a couple of things from my mom (she got me an espresso machine!! SWEET. I have become addicted to latte's and cappuccino's and all the fun coffee drinks since working at the coffee shop - and now I can make them all at home - so fun) that I really like. Tim and I decided not to exchange gifts this year - money being one issue and the other being that there isn't a whole lot of "things" we want. We decided that we'll save up for a trip of some sort that we can go on - which will be very cool!
Anywho I said I'd keep this post quick - so here's the cards I made that I hinted at earlier for today's CC Designs Review Preview of the Gingersnaps stamps - I chose the Angels Everywhere stamps for my samples:
I made all 3 cards as "tent topper" cards - they're 4 1/4" square cards, with the "toppers" adhered so that they are 5 1/2" high -that way they'll fit in a standard A2 sized envelope.
I stamped the three angels onto white cardstock then colored them in with my Copics (this time I worked a little on them and did some shading/blending and whatnot - I like the results!).
I used my white gel pen to add highlights then added glitter to them all via Crystal Stickles.
I used my Marvy Mega Circle punch to punch out the main images, then matted them with a giga scalloped circle.
All the patterned paper used on these cards is from the Imaginisce Fairest of Them All line - it's SO pretty in real life - some of the patterns have glitter on them, and they're so girlie I HAD to have them.
The scalloped circles were punched from the patterned paper.
I did the same layout on each card, just switching up the papers and using different ribbons. The green grosgrain is from my stash, the light pink is May Arts satin, and the blue is May Arts striped ribbon.
I added a bunch of Primas to each card as well as some Imaginisce sheer flowers - they're hard to see in the pics but they are there!
I just used various brads from my stash to attach the primas.
All the sentiments are from the CCD Sugarplums Sentiments set - I stamped the various words onto scraps of white cardstock then either punched them out with one of my oval punches, or used my nestabilities labels or tags dies.
I finished off the inside of each card by lining it with matching patterned paper, then white cardstock (with the corners rounded). I added a twinkle crown sticker to the inside of each as well to bling it up a little and that was it!
Now I have to run and get things ready! Have a great day everyone!
